Cased Miniature Daniel Osterman Relief
Carved Flintlock Kentucky Rifle - NSN, 12
1/4 inch octagon bbl., brown/casehardened/
brass/German silver finish, curly maple stock.
This fantastic non-firing miniature by Daniel E.
Osterman (1951-2004) features a “rifled” barrel (only drilled slightly at the
muzzle) signed “D. E. Osterman +” equipped with traditional blade and
notch sights. The brass and German silver mounts are finely engraved, and
the inside of the patchbox is marked “NO. 3 OF 25”. The curly maple stock
has stunning flame figure and raised relief carving. The rifle measures 17 1/4
inches from muzzle to heel and comes in a fitted case with an Osterman label.
CONDITION: Excellent overall with essentially all of the original finish, some light patination, crisp engraving and carving, and
minor handling and storage marks. Mechanically functions. The case is very good with some storage wear.

Cased Miniature Golden Age John Armstrong
Flintlock Kentucky Rifle and Pistol Set by Daniel Osterman -A) D. Osterman
Miniature John Armstrong Rifle - NSN, 23 1/2 inch octagon bbl., brown/casehardened/
brass/German silver finish, maple stock. The plaque inside the shared case is inscribed
“KENTUCKY RIFLE & PISTOL/John Armstrong - Emmitsburg, Md./C. 1820/ 1/2 SCALE BY DAN
OSTERMAN/EDITION OF 5”. The locks and barrels are signed “D. E. OSTERMAN” for Daniel E. Osterman (1951-2004). The
non-firing pistol and rifle have rifled barrels with blade and notch sights, engraved brass and German silver mounts, and figured maple stocks. The rifle
is 31 5/8 inches from muzzle to heel and has incised and raised relief carving along the stock. The pistol is 6 5/8 inches in length.
CONDITION: Excellent overall with nearly all the original finish, distinct engraving and carving, minor flakes at the edges of the stock, and generally only minor handling wear. Mechanically functions. The case is very good aside
from the detached hinges and has minor storage wear. B) D. Osterman Miniature Kentucky Pistol - NSN, 4 inch part octagon bbl., bright/brass/German silver finish, curly maple stock. As described in “A”.
CONDITION: Excellent with light patina on the metal and minor handling marks. Mechanically functions.
