B) T. Richards Brass Barreled Flintlock
Blunderbuss - NSN, 1 bore gauge, 24 inch round
bbl., bright/brass finish, walnut stock. See “A”.
CONDITION: Fine, the iron showing mostly a
grey patina with some scattered brown freckling
and some light oxidation towards the front of
the lockplate, attractively aged brass with some
scattered minor dings, and the engraving remaining
well defined overall. There is a small gouge through
the lockplate at the rear. The refinished wood is
also fine with scattered minor dings/scratches and
well-defined carving. Mechanically functions. A
truly extraordinary pair of dated and inscribed brass
barreled blunderbusses!
