Pre-World War II Engraved and Gold Inlaid Belgian Browning Auto-5 Semi-Automatic
Shotgun with Four Extra Barrels - Serial no. 80334, 12 gauge, 25 1/2 inch vent rib bbl., blue/gold
finish, walnut stock. Manufactured circa 1929, and featuring a single bead sight on the matted flat vent
rib, factory markings, 2 3/4 inch chamber, choke marked skeet, and fine gold inlaid scroll at the breech.
The barrel is fitted to the blued receiver which displays factory markings and proof marks all surrounded by highly
attractive gold wire inlay forming scrolls and floral designs executed by an unknown engraver, and creating a very
elegant look reminiscent of the art deco style of the time. The gun is fitted with highly attractive and multi-point
checkered forend and straight hand stock with factory buttplate. Includes four extra barrels, all with matching gold
inlay at the breech, one matching numbered
and 24 inches with Poly Choke installed,
one matching numbered and 20 inches with
Lyman Cutts Compensator, one 21 1/2 inches
with Lyman Cutts Compensator, and one 29 1/2
inches with full choke. Stock measurements: 1
9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 3/16 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8
inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs. 9 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine as professionally upgraded, retaining
99% factory quality blue and gold finishes with minor
handling evidence and sharp checkering on the
wood. Mechanically excellent. The extra barrel sets
are also very fine with some minor oxidation on
the 20 inch tube.

Factory Edovard Vos Signed and Gold
Inlaid Fabrique Nationale Superposed
Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 59287,
12 gauge, 30 inch vent rib bbl., blue/gold finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1977.
Built with blued steel barrels featuring dual white bead sights on the matted flat vent rib,
standard factory markings, light gold line inlays at the breech and barrel wings, chokes marked
improved cylinder/improved modified, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The
serial number “59287S77” is marked on the left of the barrel flats. The barrels are fitted to the
blued sideplated action which displays highly attractive understated gold line inlays with light scrollwork in the F-1C pattern
which is highly pleasing to the eye. The gold work continues onto the toplever, trigger guard, and both tangs, the top of
which shows the serial number in gold without the “S77” suffix. The gun is signed “E.VOS” on the triggerplate to the right of the trigger for FN engraver Edovard Vos. The gun is
fitted with a single gold trigger and a tang mounted manual safety/selector with gold inlaid “S”, “O”, and “U” indicators. The gun is fitted with a beautifully figured and multi-point
checkered Schnabel forend with gold inlaid iron as well as a pistol grip stock with black buttplate and two gold inscription ovals, one with the crest of Bahrain, the other with and “HNS” monogram. This
gun belonged to American General H. Norman Schwarzkopf who led the Coalition Forces during the Gulf War in 1991, while not confirmed, it is likely this gun was a gift from the government of Bahrain
during the general’s victory tour thanking the coalition member nations for their support. Includes a grey leather Browning case with the crest of Bahrain on the lid. Also includes a letter signed by Cynthia
Schwarzkopf, on Schwarzkopf Family letterhead, certifying this shotgun by serial number as being the former property of her father, General H. Norman Schwarzkopf. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine
inches from the breech .724/.726 inches; choke constriction .008/.027 inches; minimum wall .040/.040 thickness inches; 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 7/16 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 13 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% bright original high polish blue and gold finishes with minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine.
