a limited number of M1A rifles compatible with the selective fire hardware of the M14; very little separates this rifle from the original military battle rifle save the receiver markings. The receiver is fitted with the proper “A” marked selector switch and transfer bar on the right side. “TRW” bolt, and “HR-N” hammer and trigger housing, with a proper extended disconnector, and a “SA” operating rod. Circled “P” marked hardwood stock with light bedding around the receiver and trigger housing, and a flip-up shoulder rest. An unlabeled shipping box is included, along with a Harris bipod, and a canvas sling. Magazine absent. Note: This M1A is consecutively serial numbered to the following lot; factory original selective fire M1As are rare alone, let alone in a sequential pair. CONDITION: Near new, with mild handling marks overall. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479.

Scarce Springfield M1A Selective Fire Battle Rifle, Class III/NFA Fully Transferable Machine Gun, with Box - Serial no. 038756, 7.62 mm Nato cal., 22 inch round bbl., matte gray finish, hardwood stock.
