Upgraded Winchester .410 Bore Model 21 “4 of 7” Grade 4 Double Barrel Shotgun with Case - Serial no. W34026,
410 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Blued Winchester Proof Steel barrels with a single red bead sight on the matted vent rib which is marked “CUSTOM BUILT WINCHESTER SET”, 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and chokes marked “WS-1”/”WS-2”. The blued action displays Winchester 21-4 pattern engraving with attractive scrollwork around a trio of game scenes depicting a pair of mallards taking flight on the left, two landing pintail ducks on the
right, and a set of hunting pointers on the underside. The lower tang is marked “Grade 4 4 of 7” in fine script indicating its place in the set. The gun features a single selective trigger and tang mounted automatic safety with silver inlaid “SAFE”. Highly figured, multi-point checkered beavertail forend with engraved fittings and straight grip stock with Winchester Rider in the inscription oval and a checkered bare butt. Includes a wood and leather takedown case, snap caps, and oiler. Stock measurements: 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at heel; 14 7/16 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 8 oz. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retaining 99% blue finish with minor handling marks and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The case is excellent. Mechanically excellent.
