Upgraded Winchester .410 Bore Model 21 “2 of 7” Grade 2 Double Barrel Shotgun with Case - Serial no. W34028, 410 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl.,
blue finish, walnut stock. Blued Winchester Proof Steel barrels with a single
red bead sight on the matted vent rib which is marked “CUSTOM BUILT WINCHESTER SET”, 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and chokes marked “WS-1”/”WS-2”. The blued action displays Winchester 21-2 pattern engraving with light scrollwork and a mallard on the underside. The lower tang is marked “Grade 2 2 of 7” in fine script indicating its place in the set. The gun features a single selective trigger and tang mounted automatic safety. Highly figured, multi-point checkered beavertail forend with engraved fittings and straight grip stock with Winchester Rider in the inscription oval and a checkered bare butt. Includes a wood and leather takedown case, snap caps, and oiler. Stock measurements: 1 5/16 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 7/16 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 11 oz. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retaining 99% blue finish with minor handling marks, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The case is excellent. Mechanically excellent. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retaining 99% blue and gold finishes with minor handling marks, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. One of the case latches is damaged, otherwise it is excellent. Mechanically needs some work as only the right barrel will fire. Provenance: The Buffalo Bill Center of the West.
