Documented Abercrombie and Fitch Shipped Colt Second Generation Single Action Army Revolver with Original Black Box and Factory Letter - Serial no. 32290SA, 45 Long Colt cal.,
4 3/4 inch round bbl., blue/ casehardened finish, plastic grips. The included factory letter confirms the revolver as having a 4 3/4 inch barrel chambered for .45 Long Colt, with blue finish and grips not listed when shipped alone to Abercrombie and Fitch
in Chicago, Illinois, on September
2, 1960. As noted in his book “The
Post-War Colt Single Action Army Revolver 1955-1975,” author
Don Wilkerson notes that of all the .45 Long Colt chambered Second Generation Single Action Army revolvers, only 5,352 were manufactured with blue/casehardened finishes and 4 3/4 inch barrels, making it the fourth least common variation for the caliber. Assembly number “177” is found on the loading gate. Matching serial numbers are on the frame, trigger guard, back strap, partials on both grip panels, and the last three digits are on the cylinder front face. Includes original Colt black box and manual.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue and casehardened finishes with minimal handling evidence and crisp grip checkering. The box is also excellent with light handling wear. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,500 - 5,500

Excellent Second Generation Colt Single Action Army Revolver with Black Box - Serial no. 37180SA, 45 Long Colt cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish,
hard rubber grips. This is an
excellent Second Generation
version of the classic Colt
Single Action Army revolver with a “cavalry” .45 caliber 7 1/2 inch barrel and the standard Rampant Colt embossed checkered hard rubber grips. It was manufactured in 1962 and has the standard markings and features including the matching serial and assembly numbers. It comes with an original factory black box numbered to another gun that contains a manual. Approximately 10,030 Second Generation SAAs were
produced in this configuration.
CONDITION: Excellent 99% overall. The revolver has some light overall handling and storage marks with a faint drag line otherwise as new. Mechanically excellent. The black box is fair with taped edges and general storage wear.

included factory letter confirms the
revolver as having a 5 1/2 inch barrel
chambered for .38 Special, with blue
finish and grips not listed when shipped alone to the Torrance Cycle & Sport Shop in Torrance, California, on April 11, 1957. Assembly number “196” is found on the loading gate and front cylinder face. Matching serial numbers on frame, trigger guard, back strap, both grip panels (11470). Includes Colt black box.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 85% plus original blue and casehardened finish, with slight edge wear and thinning, a cylinder drag line, light handling marks, and crisp grip checkering. The box is poor. Mechanically excellent.

Colt Second Generation Single
Action Army with Factory Letter - Serial no.
45825SA, 45 Long Colt cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened
finish, walnut grips. The included factory letter indicates this revolver was
shipped with a 7 1/2 inch barrel in 45 LC, blue finish, and wood stocks to the John Jovino Company of New York City on February 13, 1968, with another gun in the shipment. The John Jovino Gun Shop was the oldest running gun shop in the
United States before it closed down in 2020. Features the standard blade front and notch rear sights, the top of the barrel is marked with the one line address, and
the left side is marked “COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45”. The two line, three patent dates marking on the left side of the frame followed by the Rampant Colt. The two-piece replacement grips are smooth walnut.
CONDITION: Excellent overall retaining 97% original blue finish and case colors
with some minor handling evidence and a light cylinder drag line. The very good replacement grips are ill-fitting and have minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,600 - 2,750
