Documented Texas Shipped Nickel Plated Pre-War Colt Single Action Army Revolver with Factory Letter - Serial no. 347311, 38-40 WCF cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., nickel finish, plastic grips. Manufactured in 1926 with blade front and frame groove rear sights and fitted with checkered Rampant Colt grips with an overall nickel finish. Standard markings including the matching serial number on the right side of the grip straps, the front of the frame, and the partial “11” on the cylinder. The loading gate is marked with the assembly number “63”, and the grips are numbered to another gun. The included Colt letter confirms the caliber, barrel length, and finish and notes that this gun was the only gun shipped to Wolf & Klar (distributors for Colt) in Fort Worth, Texas, on September 29, 1926.
CONDITION: Excellent. The revolver retains 98% plus of the original nickel finish with some faint cylinder rotation marks, light handling/storage marks, and two small patches of pitting: one above the screw on the left side of the frame and one on the upper left edge of the trigger guard. A minor flake of nickel is absent on right side of muzzle. The grips are fine with some minor chips on the rear top edge of the left panel. Mechanically excellent.
