LOT 1592 Exceptional Roger Biesen Bolt Action Sporting Rifle with Schmidt & Bender Scope - Serial
no. 30011, 375 H&H magnum cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. The barrel is fitted with a ramped hooded beaded blade front sight, sling eye attached to the bottom of the barrel, and island mounted single leaf sight marked for 50 yards. It’s marked “ROGER BIESEN GUNMAKER SPOKANE, WN.” just ahead of the rear sight and “375 H&H MAGNUM” on the left of the chamber. The Mauser style action is unmarked and fitted with a set of quick detach scope mounts which house a Schmidt & Bender 1.5-6x42 Zenith scope and a two position flag safety. Mounted in an outstandingly contrasted multipoint checkered walnut stock with ebony forend cap, checkered blued steel grip cap, Obendorf magazine, shadowline cheekpiece, and Decelerator recoil pad. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks, a few minor dings and scratches in the stock, and crisp stock checkering. Mechanically excellent. LOT 1593 Serengeti Rifles Walkabout Bolt Action Rifle with Zeiss Scope - Serial no. B04-0784S, 270 WSM cal., 24 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Features a sightless barrel marked “270 WSM/Walkabout” on the left side of the chamber. The action is marked “Serengeti” on the left wall and is fitted with a Swarovski Z5 3.5- 18X44 scope, and a jeweled bolt and extractor. Mounted in a magnificently figured fleur-de-lis checkered walnut acra-bond stock with rosewood forend and pistol grip caps, a shadowline cheekpiece, Monte Carlo comb, and Decelerator recoil pad. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with minimal handling marks and crisp stock checkering. Mechanically excellent. Scope is excellent
LOT 1594 Holland & Holland Bolt Action Magazine Rifle with Zeiss Scope - Serial no. 4379, 30-06 cal., 25 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. The barrel is marked “HOLLAND & HOLLAND, BURTON STREET, LONDON” at the center and “30-06 on top of the chamber fitted with ramped beaded blade front sight with adjustable hood, two leaf rear sight (one standing one folding) sighted for 50/100 and 300 yards with gold inlaid center line, and central sling eye. The action has a matted front ring and is fitted with a set of quick detach scope rings holding a Zeiss Diavari-C 3-9x36 T* scope and flag safety with gold inlaid “S”. The triggerguard is marked engraved with the serial number, and the floorplate “4 CARTRIDGES”. Mounted in a beautifully contrasted nicely figured multipoint checkered walnut stock with ebony tip, engraved casehardened pistol grip cap and cross bolts, initial escutcheon with the initials “E.W.O.” and a red rubber recoil pad. Includes a leather sling. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 95% plus original blue finish with a few minor scuffs and handling marks. Stock is also very fine with some dings and scratches and a series of horizontal hairline cracks on the right side of the comb and one under the bolt handle as well as crisp checkering.
