Action Flat Top Sheriff’s Model
Revolver - Serial no. KCWG3, 44 special cal., 3 inch
octagon bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut grips.
Designed by Bill Grover to be an improvement on the Single
Action Army design, this flat top Sheriff’s Model revolver
mirrors the frame of Colt’s design so as the loading gate and ejector
housing are on the left side of the
revolver. The unfluted cylinder
also operates in a counter
clockwise fashion allowing for
loading and unloading without
removing the revolver from the
shooter’s dominant hand. This
revolver features serrated blade front and adjustable rear sights, an octagonal ejector housing, and attractive figured Bisley style grips.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and case colors with limited handling marks, a faint cylinder drag line, and an attractive plum coloration on the cylinder and gripstraps. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,000 - 6,000

cal., 7 1/2 inch octagon bbl., blue/casehardened finish, maple
grips. Introduced in 1988. Designed by gunsmith Bill Grover
of Texas Longhorn Arms as an homage and improvement on famed six
gun shooter and gunsmith Elmer
Keith’s legendary “Number 5”
revolver with a limited production
of only 1,200. The revolver was
designed by Grover to be loaded,
and unloaded, from the right
hand with the loading gate and
ejector rod on the left side. The unfluted cylinder rotates in a counter clockwise manner as opposed to the more common clockwise motion traditionally found in revolvers. Fitted with a fixed blade front and adjustable rear notch sights on the octagon barrel marked “IMPROVED NUMBER ‘FIVE’” on the top flat, an octagon ejector rod housing, and an attractive Bisley pattern smooth burl grip. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and case colors with limited handling marks and an attractive plum coloration on the cylinder and grip strap. Mechanically excellent.

Action Army design, this flat top target style revolver mirrors the frame of
Colt’s design so as the loading gate and ejector housing are on the left
side of the revolver. The unfluted
cylinder also operates in a counter
clockwise fashion allowing for
loading and unloading without
removing the revolver from the
shooter’s dominant hand. This
revolver features Patridge blade front and three leaf (one standing two folding) rear sights, “ONE OF ONE THOUSAND” marked on the left barrel flat, an octagonal ejector housing, and attractive figured birdshead grips.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and 98% case colors with a couple minor scratches. Mechanically excellent.
