Documented Factory Engraved Colt Etched Panel New Line .22 Spur Trigger Revolver with Factory Letter - Serial no. 10285, 22 RF cal., 2 1/4 inch slab sided bbl., nickel finish, antique ivory grips. Manufactured in 1875 with the standard two-line address on top of the barrel, “COLT NEW 22” on the left in an etched panel. The left of the frame is marked “22 CAL”. The revolver has 75% coverage factory floral scroll and geometric pattern engraving. It is fitted with
a blade front sight, frame top groove rear sight, and a pair of smooth factory antique ivory grips, the right panel numbered to the gun in pencil on the inside. The included factory letter confirms the configuration, including the engraving
and the grips, as well as shipment to B. Kittredge & Co. in Cincinnati, Ohio, on 29 February 1876.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 80% plus of the original nickel finish with some scattered
light flaking, edge wear, and surface pitting. The engraving remains crisp, and the etched panel well-defined.
The grips are very good showing an attractively aged tone and a few scattered light handling marks.

Presentation Cased Pair of Colt Third Model “Thuer” Derringers
-A) Colt Third Model “Thuer” Derringer - Serial no. 45152, 41 RF cal., 2 inch round bbl., nickel finish, hardwood grips. Manufacturing began in 1870. This pair are both of the Second Type, featuring the short, sloped hammers and no bolster on the front bottom of the frame. Both have the standard italic Colt marking on top of the barrel, with the serial numbers marked on the left side of the grip frames, as well as hand marked on the inside of the grip panels on both. “41 CAL” is marked on the left of the frame on both pistols. They are housed in an included attractive hardwood case with brass corners and escutcheon on the lid, a cartridge block inside containing 40 rounds of .41 RF, and an oiler.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original nickel finish with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina, primarily near the muzzle. The grips are very good with some scattered light handling marks. There is a series of minor dings on the butt of the grip frame and butt of the left grip panel. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine with minimal handling/storage evidence and one crack on the lid.
B) Colt Third Model “Thuer” Derringer - Serial no. 651, 41 RF cal., 2 inch round bbl., nickel finish, hardwood grips. See “A”.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 95% plus of the original nickel finish with some scattered light handling marks and a few light flakes. The grips are very fine with a few scattered dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.

Desirable First Year Production Colt House Model Cloverleaf Pocket Revolver with Rare Short Octagon Barrel - Serial no. 1314, 41 RF cal., 1 1/2 inch octagon bbl., blue/silver finish, rosewood grips. Manufactured in 1871, the first year of production, this is an example of
a desirable, short barrel version of the Colt “Cloverleaf” revolver. “COLT” is marked on top of the barrel, while the full serial number is marked on the butt and inside of each grip
panel in ink. It is fitted with blade front and frame notch rear sights, checkered trigger and hammer, and a
pair of smooth rosewood bird’s head grips. CONDITION: Very good, retains 30% of the original blue and silver finishes, mostly in
sheltered areas, with the balance either a smooth grey patina or an attractively
aged brass. The grips are very fine with a few scattered light handling marks.
Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,750 - 4,250
