Winchester Model 1876 Lever Action Rifle - Serial no. 35600, 45-60 WCF cal., 28 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. The Winchester Model 1876 was designed and manufactured specifically with those in mind on the Western Frontier who desired more firepower than .44-40 could offer. These “big bore” Winchesters truly had the stopping power to handle just about anything thrown at them on the frontier. Manufactured 1883 as a Third Model with integral dust cover guide and dust cover with grip serrations at the rear. The top barrel flat has the two-line address and King’s patent marking in front of the rear sight and the caliber marking at the breech. The caliber marking is repeated on the bottom of the cartridge elevator. The model designation is marked on the upper tang, and the serial number is on the lower tang. It is fitted with a German silver blade front sight and an “1876” marked folding ladder rear sight. It is mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a trapdoor crescent buttplate (cleaning rod not included). CONDITION: Good, retains traces of the original blue finish with the balance a mottled grey-brown finish and a few scattered patches of light surface pitting. The reoiled wood is also good with some scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,800 - 2,750

Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine in Desirable .38-55 W.C.F. - Serial no. 136589, 38-55 WCF cal., 20 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1901. The top of the barrel is marked with the standard two-line address and the “38-55” caliber marking at the breech. The upper tang is marked with the three-line model, trademark, and patent information, and the serial number is marked on the bottom of the receiver. It is fitted with a pinned, beaded blade front sight, folding ladder rear sight, and a saddle ring on the left of the receiver. It is mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a carbine buttplate. CONDITION: Fine, retains 50% of the original blue finish, faint traces of the case colors, and 60% of the original nitre blue on the loading gate with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina and a few scattered patches of light pitting that show some cold blue touch up on the left rear of the frame. The wood is very good with a few hairline cracks in the wrist and some scattered minor dings. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,250 - 3,500

Special Order Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Rifle in .25-20 W.C.F. - Serial no. 159740, 25-20 WCF cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1901. The top of the barrel is marked with the two-line address and caliber marking at the breech. The three-line model, trademark, and patent date are marked on the upper tang. The serial number is on the bottom of the receiver. It is fitted with a Lyman beaded blade front sight, three-leaf rear sight, and factory double set triggers. It is mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Fine, retains 70% of the original blue finish, strong traces of the original case colors, and 40% plus of the original nitre blue with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina. The wood is also fine with some scattered light handling marks throughout. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,250 - 3,500
LOT 3034 Antique Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle - Serial no. 203941B, 38 WCF cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. The Model 1873 was incredibly popular in the American West due to their rapid firepower and their rugged dependability. Manufactured in 1886, this example being chambered in .38 W.C.F. would have been the perfect pairing with a Colt Single Action Army revolver in the same caliber. The top barrel flat has the two-line address/King’s patent marking. The caliber marking is on the upper barrel flat at the breech and repeated on the bottom of the cartridge elevator. The model designation is marked on the upper tang, and the serial number is on the lower tang. CONDITION: Fine, retains 50% plus of the original blue finish, strong traces of the original case colors, and 70% of the original nitre blue on the loading gate with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina, a few scattered patches of light pitting, and a patch of mild pitting on the front of the lever. The wood is also very good with a few scattered minor dings, numerous scratches, and some light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,800 - 2,750

Winchester Model 1895 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine - Serial no. 109531, 30 Army (30-40 Krag) cal., 22 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1915 with a Winchester factory oval proof visible on the receiver ring along with the caliber marking, “.30/ARMY”. The two line address and patent markings are on the left side of the receiver. The three line model and trademark information are marked on the upper tang, and the serial number along with “B” are marked on the lower tang. It is fitted with a pinned blade front sight, folding ladder rear sight, and a saddle ring on the left of the receiver. It is mounted with a smooth forearm with finger groove and an upper handguard, as well as a smooth straight grip stock with a trapdoor carbine buttplate (cleaning rod not included). CONDITION: Fine, retains 60% plus of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to a mixture of brown and grey patina and a few scattered small patches of very light surface pitting. The wood is also fine with a few scattered light handling marks and a very small filled screw hole on the left of the buttstock. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,800 - 2,750
