Pre-World War II Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine from the Armory of the Maharajah of Faridkot - Serial no. 1037295, 32-40 WCF cal., 20 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1928, this Model 1894 carbine includes a 1995 letter from Robert H. Mitchell attributing this carbine as formerly from the armory of the Maharajah of Faridkot, which was purchased by Westley Richards before being purchased by Mitchell. The letter states that three saddle ring carbines in .32-40 W.C.F. were in the armory, all with the unique four-leaf rear sight that is seen on this example. The left of the barrel is marked with the two-line address/patent dates, two-line nickel steel marking, and
the caliber marking at the breech. The upper tang has the three-line Winchester trademark, and the serial number is marked
fitted with a pinned beaded blade front sight (bead absent), the unique four-leaf rear sight, and a saddle ring on the left of the receiver. It is mounted with a smooth
forearm and straight grip stock with a carbine buttplate. Along with the aforementioned letter, information regarding the Maharajahs of Faridkot is included. CONDITION: Fine, retains 80% of the dark original blue on the receiver and 90% of the original blue on the remainder with the balance mostly a smooth grey patina and a coat of protective varnish overall. The wood is also fine with some minor handling marks scattered throughout. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Collection of the Maharajah of Faridkot; Westley Richards; The Robert H. LOT 3037 Exceptional Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Rifle in .25-20 W.C.F. - Serial no. 788426, 25-20 WCF cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1915 with standard Winchester factory oval proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech. The upper left flat of the barrel is marked with the two-line address/patent dates and the “25- 20 W.C.F.” caliber marking at the breech. The upper tang is marked with the three-line model and trademark information, and the serial number is marked on the bottom of the receiver. It is fitted with a blade front sight and elevation adjustable buckhorn rear sight. It is mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retains 85% plus of the bright original blue finish with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth light brown patina. The wood is excellent with a few scattered light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,500 - 5,000

Attractive Winchester Deluxe Style Model 1895 Lever Action Carbine - Serial no. 36343, 30-40 Krag cal., 22 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Originally manufactured in 1902, this Model 1895 carbine was subsequently professionally refinished and upgraded to deluxe configuration by Turnbull Restoration Co. The standard two-line address and patent dates are marked on the left
of the receiver and “30” is marked on top of the receiver ring. The model designation is on the upper tang and serial number on the lower tang. It is fitted with a pinned blade front sight, barrel drilled and tapped for a rear sight which is absent, and a Lyman peep sight mounted on the left
of the receiver. It is mounted with a very finely figured, checkered forearm and upper handguard and a checkered straight grip stock with a trapdoor carbine
buttplate (cleaning rod not included). The included Turnbull Restoration Co. letter lists the carbine by serial number and details the upgrade work done by them.
CONDITION: Very fine as professionally upgraded to deluxe configuration, retains 99% plus of the professionally restored blue finish with only the slightest handling marks. The
finely figured replacement wood is also very fine with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Very Fine Antique Winchester Model 1885 Low Wall Single Shot Rifle in .22 Short - Serial no. 60596, 22 short cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1893 with standard Winchester markings. The no. 1 weight barrel is fitted with a combination Beach front sight and a filler block in the rear sight dovetail. Casehardened action and folding tang peep sight. It is mounted with a Schnabel tip forearm with ebony insert and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine. The barrel retains 90% faded original blue finish with thinning to brown on the balance. The receiver retains 85% vivid
original case colors. Traces of original case colors remain on the lever, and slight patterns of original case colors remain on the buttplate. The wood is fine with a couple hairline cracks at the tip of the forearm and minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,000

Highly Desirable Winchester Repeating Arms Co. Marked Leather Lever Action Rifle Case - This is a fantastic example of a full length rifle travel case manufactured by Winchester Repeating Arms Co. The overall length is approximately 45 1/2 inches, and it is constructed of light brown/tan leather. There is some light tooling in the form of concentric rectangular borders with light floral scroll in the corners in the area where the buttstock of the rifle would rest. The case comfortably holds a Winchester Model 1873 and an 1892 rifle with a 24 inch barrel. There is a suitcase style handle in the receiver area of the case, a shoulder strap, and a flap that buckles closed on the butt end. The retention strap of the handle is marked “WINCHESTER/REPEATING ARMS CO./NEW-YORK”. CONDITION: Fine showing years of use with scattered patches of scuffing on the exterior, some popped stitching near the end flap on the shoulder strap side, and torn strap loop near the muzzle. The leather shows some attractive age darkening in the spots where the case was handled. This would make an excellent companion to any Model 1873 or 1892 rifle!
