Attractive Engraved and Gold Inlaid Smith & Wesson .357 Double Action Revolver with Japanese Registration Paperwork - Serial no. S91435, 357 magnum cal., 3 1/2 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1952-1953 and subsequently
elaborately embellished. The revolver features near full coverage relief floral scroll engraving with floral blooms on both sides of the frame and on the top of the crane. The revolver
is further decorated with two gold bands at both ends of the barrel and another at the rear of the cylinder, as well as a gold outline on the frame, and gold panels on the barrel and
triggerguard. Though the magnificent work is unsigned, it is clearly the work of a master of the craft. The revolver is fitted with a set of S&W medallion target grips. Includes a Japanese weapon registration certificate dated July 1, 1958,
registering this revolver to Lt. William J. Watson of the United States Navy for target practice purposes. It is possible the revolver was engraved during this stint in the Kanagawa Prefecture.
CONDITION: Excellent as professionally engraved and gold inlaid, retaining 99% plus blue finish with limited handling marks, an attractive plum coloration, and crisp engraving. The grips are very fine with handling marks, and a chip in the left panel. Mechanically

Documented Class “A” Factory Engraved and Silver Inlaid Smith & Wesson Model 19-3 Double Action Revolver with Case and Factory Letter - Serial no. K917611, 357 magnum cal., 6 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, smooth grips. The accompanying factory letter states the revolver was shipped
on February 13, 1970, and delivered to Em Roe Sporting Goods Co. of Indianapolis, Indiana, with a
6 inch barrel, partridge front sight, target hammer, target trigger, blue finish, ivory grips, and Class “A” engraving. It is the opinion of the writer that the revolver was beautifully enhanced with a well

executed relief floral scroll pattern on a matted background, covering 70% of the surface along with silver inlaid line borders on the frame and cylinder, and fitted with a set of oversize two-piece grips. The revolver has a ramped blade front sight, adjustable square notch rear sight, and casehardened target hammer and trigger. The hardwood presentation case is lined in blue velvet and contains an empty cartridge block.
CONDITION: Very fine overall as highly embellished, retaining 99% plus blue finish with limited handling marks and grips with attractive color. The case is very fine. Mechanically excellent. A highly attractive engraved and inlaid S&W Model 19-3 revolver.
