Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Upgraded and Engraved DWM Model 1909
Mauser Bolt Action Sporting Rifle in .35 Whelen - Serial no. C0541, 35 WHELEN cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, deluxe walnut stock. Originally a bolt action service rifle, likely made for the Argentinian contract, this DWM Model 1909 was subsequently extensively reworked by Mark Stratton and embellished by Darrel Nelson as a raffle prize for the 2002 Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Banquet. Re-manufactured without sights, featuring a barrel mounted sling swivel, jeweled bolt body, turned bolt handle, added Champain safety, and railed scope bases mounted to the receiver. The left side of the receiver still bears its original DWM manufacturer markings. The octagon barrel is marked “.35 WHELEN” on the left and “Mark Stratten - Gunmaker” in cursive script. With 30% floral scroll engraving on the chamber, receiver, included Talley scope rings, floor plate, trigger guard, and grip cap, with a contrasted elk game scene on the floor plate and “RMEF/2002” on the bottom of the grip cap. Fitted in a highly figured AAA deluxe walnut stock with ebony forend tip, multi-point checkering, steel grip cap, shadowline cheek piece, and black rubber Decelerator recoil pad. CONDITION: Excellent overall as upgraded and embellished by Mark Stratton and Darrel Nelson, with 99% blue finish retained with light overall handling marks, crisp engravings, and crisp stock checkering. Factory Engraved Mauser M03 Bolt
Action Rifle in .375 Holland & Holland Magnum - Serial no. M004830, 375 H&H magnum cal., 25 inch round bbl., blue/grey finish, walnut stock. Manufactured as a takedown rifle with interchangeable barrels, the Mauser M03 served as a way to have one rifle for many applications. Simply swap the barrel and you could be hunting a whole new prey. This rifle is currently fitted with a matching numbered .375 Holland & Holland Magnum barrel featuring a ramped beaded blade front and single standing leaf express rear sights. The receiver is grayed and displays light floral scroll engraving with a decocking safety and stag engraved magazine floorplate. Mounted in a nicely figured, multipoint checkered walnut stock with black forend and grip cap, cheekpiece and black solid recoil pad. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue and grey finishes with limited handling marks, crisp engraving, and crisp stock checkering. Mechanically excellent. LOT 597 G. McMillan & Co. Standard Grade Signature Model Bolt Action Sporting Rifle in .338 Win. Mag. with Schmidt & Bender Scope - Serial no. 10220, 338 Win magnum cal., 24 inch round bbl., matte stainless finish, synthetic stock. Manufactured without sights, featuring a drilled and tapped receiver and threaded muzzle with installed thread protector. The left side of the chamber is engraved with the caliber, while the left side of the receiver bears the G. McMillan & Co. name and address. Fitted in a wood grain painted, multi-point checkered, synthetic stock with Decelerator recoil pad. Includes a Schmidt & Bender Zenith 2.5-10x56 mm scope and leather sling. CONDITION: Excellent, with minimal light handling marks. The stock is exceptionally fine with mild surface chipping, a few light scratches, and crisp checkering. Scope is electronically excellent with clear optics and crisp reticle. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,750 - 4,000

This rifle is currently fitted with a .375 Holland & Holland Magnum barrel numbered “M007815” featuring a ramped beaded blade front and single standing leaf express rear sights. The receiver is matte blued and fitted with a decocking safety. Mounted in a multipoint checkered walnut pistol grip stock with contrasting forend and grip cap, cheekpiece, and black recoil pad. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 97% original blue finish with some light handling marks and minor spotting on the action. Wood is very fine with a couple minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. dark earth Cerakoted fluted barrel which shows standard markings and is fitted to a matching Mark V action and bottom metal which bears the Sub-MOA Certified marking. The rifle is mounted in a synthetic pistol grip stock featuring sling studs and a Decelerator recoil pad. Included is the original factory box. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original flat dark earth finish with limited handling evidence. The box is very fine. Mechanically excellent.
