Factory Game Scene Engraved Gebruder Merkel Boxlock Over/Under Shotgun with Combination Barrel Set with Zeiss Scope and Case - Serial no. 62893, 20 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Built with blued steel barrels featuring a single white bead sight on the matted solid rib, scroll engraving around the chamber area, 1965 dated German proofs, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to a coin finished boxlock action which displays scroll engraving as well as a roe buck and doe scene on the left and a trio of mallards on the right. The gun features double triggers
with the front a single set, cocking indicators, and a tang mounted safety. Mounted in a lightly figured and multi-point
checkered three-piece forend with engraved fittings and a pistol grip stock with shadowline cheekpiece and black polymer
grip cap and buttplate. Included is an extra barrel set chambered for 20 gauge and 222 Remington fitted with German claw
mounts and a Zeiss Diavari-Z 1.5-6x42mm scope. Also included is a leather sling and a takedown case that houses the
entire set.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and 97% original coin finishes with minor handling evidence, some dried grease in the recessed areas of the action, and sharp checkering on the wood. The case and extra barrel set are very fine. Mechanically excellent.

Factory Game Scene Engraved Simson 16 Gauge Sidelock Over/Under Shotgun - Serial no. 200613, 16 gauge, 27 5/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Built with blued Spezial Gewehrlautstahl barrels featuring a nickel front bead and a “U” groove rear sight on the matted solid rib which is marked “SIMSON, SUHL (THURINGEN)”, front sling swivel, attractive scrollwork at the breech, import mark under forend, 1960 dated German proofs, choke constrictions of .022/.033 inches, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are mated to a coin finished sidelock action which displays scroll engraving surrounding oak leaves on the bolsters and a trio of fine game scenes consisting of a pointer and
a setter flushing ducks on the left, a running rabbit on the underside, and the right has a fox flushing a flock of ducks from a pond. The gun features double triggers, cocking indicators, bushed lower firing pin, and a tang mounted manual safety. The gun is fitted with an attractively figured and multi-point checkered three-piece forend with engraved fittings and a pistol grip stock with black grip cap, raised cheekpiece,
rear sling swivel, and a Pachmayr recoil pad. Stock measurements: .049/.048 inches; 1 13/16 inch drop at comb; 2 13/16 inch drop at heel; 14 3/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 15 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 97% original blue finish, 99% original coin finish, and light handling evidence. There is a small crack off the upper tang, otherwise the wood is very fine with a few minor marks and mostly

Serial no. 84368, 12 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued Special Laufstahl barrels with a single bead sight on the matted solid rib, standard era factory markings, import mark under forend, 1972 dated German proofs, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The casehardened bolstered boxlock action displays floral scroll engraving which extends to the toplever, triggerguard, and both tangs. The gun features
double triggers (front articulated) and a tang mounted automatic safety. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered three-piece forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with black polymer grip cap and buttplate. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at heel; 14 7/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 14 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue and 95% original casehardened finishes with some light handling evidence and scratches. The stock has a small crack at the left flat and upper tang, otherwise the wood is very fine with minor marks and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,800 - 2,750

Built with blued Bohler steel barrels with single white bead sight on the matted vent rib, standard Merkel markings, 1973 dated German proofs, scroll engraving at the chamber sections, choke constrictions of (R/L) .021/.030 inches, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to a coin finished hand detachable sidelock action that displays wonderfully executed Germanic scrollwork covering nearly the entire surface with a matted background continuing onto the triggerguard, toplever, and both tangs. The gun features a single trigger, cocking indicators, and tang mounted manual safety switch. Mounted to an attractively figured, multi-point checkered three piece forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with black grip cap, shadowline
