Upgraded Straight Grip Stock Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Featherweight Bolt Action Rifle in Scarce .358 Winchester - Serial no. 327241, 358 Win cal., 22
inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1955 and chambered in the ever desirable .358 Winchester cartridge. The .358 Winchester cartridge accounts for a mere .34 percent of all Model 70s produced before 1964. The barrel is fitted with a ramped, hooded, beaded blade front sight and single leaf folding rear sights. The left side of the barrel is marked with the Winchester address and model and caliber markings. “WP” proofs are stamped on the left of the chamber and receiver. The straight tang receiver is marked with the Winchester trademark on the left and serial number on the right of the receiver ring. Mounted in awell made custom multipoint checkered, straight grain walnut straight grip stock of factory style with sling loops and a checkered aluminum buttplate. These stocks were only offered from around 1950 to 1955. CONDITION: Very fine as upgraded to current configuration, retaining 90% plus original blue finish on the barreled action with some handling marks, a plum coloration on the bolt sleeve, and muzzle wear. Fitted with ramped, hooded, beaded blade front and folding notch rear sights. The left side of the barrel is marked with the Winchester address, model,
and caliber. “WP” proofs are marked on the barrel and receiver. The receiver is marked with the Winchester Trademark on the left and serial number on the right receiver ring. Mounted in a multipoint checkered straight grain walnut pistol grip stock with contrasting forend cap, sling loops, blued steel grip cap, Monte Carlo cheekpiece, and checkered blued steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally refinished, retaining 98% plus blue finish with a few minor handling marks and some muzzle wear. Stock is very fine with some dings and

The aluminum floorplate is marked “- SUPER GRADE-”. Mounted in a multipoint checkered straight grain walnut pistol grip stock with contrasting forend cap, sling loops, blued steel grip cap, Monte Carlo cheekpiece, and checkered aluminum buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine as upgraded to current configuration, retaining 90% blue finish with some minor handling marks and light high edge wear. beaded blade front and folding notch rear sights. The left side of the barrel is marked with the Winchester address, model, and caliber. “WP” proofs are marked on the barrel and receiver. The receiver is marked with the Winchester trademark on the left and the serial number on the right of the receiver ring and topped off with a Kahles ZF84 scope on a Griffin and Howe side mount. The aluminum floorplate is marked “- SUPER GRADE-”. Mounted in a multipoint checkered straight grain walnut pistol grip stock with contrasting forend cap, sling eyes, hard rubber grip cap, Monte Carlo cheekpiece, and checkered steel buttplate. Includes leather sling.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% plus original blue finish with some minor handling marks. Stock is also excellent with some dings and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Optics fine. Estimate: 2,250 - 3,500

The cloverleaf receiver is marked with the Winchester trademark on the left and serial number on the right of the receiver ring. Mounted in a multipoint checkered straight grain walnut pistol grip stock with sling loops and checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% original plus blue finish with some handling marks, some spotting on the receiver, and a couple small patches of light pitting under the finish. Mounted in a multipoint checkered straight grain walnut pistol grip stock with sling loops and checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 85% original blue finish with some light handling marks, some dings and scratches, and some light pitting/spotting near the rear sight. The stock is also very fine with dings and scratches, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
