21 inch round bbl., black finish, walnut stock. Manufactured
by Fabrique Nationale in Belgium, this rifle is one of a very
limited number of “G” series (so called due to the “G” serial number prefix) FN FAL rifles imported
by Browning Arms in the early 1970s before the BATFE reversed its decision on the legal standing
of the imported rifles, determining that they were too close in configuration to FN’s selective-
fire military contract rifles. Further import was cut off, with the rifles already processed through
U.S. customs given a pass and added to the BATFE C&R List. While this rifle is not marked with
the standard Browning Arms importer address typically found on the magazine well, it does fall
within the serial number blocks listed on page 23 of the BATFE C&R List as being imported by
Browning. Features standard winged post front and range adjustable peep rear sights, long flash
hider, bayonet lug, adjustable gas port with grenade setting, and a folding polymer carry handle
fitted to the front of the upper receiver. The left side of the upper receiver is marked “F.A.L. cal. 308” and the right side bears the one-line Fabrique Nationale address, with the lower receiver featuring “S/R/A” selector markings with a semi-auto only selector switch. Fitted with polymer triangular forearm, smooth plastic pistol grip, and smooth oiled walnut buttstock with stamped sheet metal buttplate. With matching “3075” serial numbers on the left side of the pistol grip, top of the bolt, and top of the bolt carrier. Includes a M1907 leather sling and nine extra magazines.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 97% plus original factory black finish with limited light edge wear and thinning concentrated on the buttplate and
flash hider, along with limited minor spotting on the flash hider, buttplate, and gas valve. The furniture is excellent with limited minor handling evidence and attractive buttstock grain. Mechanically excellent.
