Early Colt Model 1905 Semi-Automatic Pistol with Three Digit Serial Number - Serial no. 121, 45 ACP cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. This is an example of a very desirable Colt Model 1905 Military pistol. This was Colt’s first real entry into the large caliber semi-automatic pistol
field and was chambered in the new more powerful .45 ACP round. This exact model and caliber were the true forerunner to the Model 1911 series of. There were only a total of 6,100 manufactured from 1905 to 1911, with this pistol manufactured in early 1906. The left side of the slide is marked: “PATENTED/APR. 20. 1897. SEPT. 9. 1902” and “COLT’S PATENT F.A. MFG. CO./HARTFORD CONN. U.S.A.” with the Rampant Colt behind the slide serrations. The right side of the slide is marked “AUTOMATIC COLT/CALIBRE 45 RIMLESS SMOKELESS”. The early three digit serial number is located on the left side of the frame above the trigger guard bow. The upper left trigger guard bow bears the partial Colt “VP” triangle proof and the lower is marked with a “1” sub- inspector proof. The top of the slide has the early small, oval front sight with the later wider rear sight. It is fitted with the exposed extractor, later checkered round spur hammer with the half-cock notch and the early brass firing pin. The grips are deluxe factory Fleur-de-Lis style checkered pattern with sculptured edges. These early pistols have the Colt high- polish blue finish with the Colt niter blue finish on the trigger, extractor, grip screws and magazine release. It is complete with an all blue unmarked Colt magazine. CONDITION: Very fine as factory refurbished with 98% of the blue overall with an unusual two-tone finish where the factory replacement slide is the Colt high polish blue and the frame a darker almost niter color blue. The hammer retains 90% of its case colors overall. The grips are excellent with the deluxe factory Fleur-de-Lis style checkered pattern. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,500 - 6,500
Shipped Colt Ace Model 22LR Semi-Automatic Pistol with Factory Letter - Serial no. 3279, 22LR. cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. This Colt Ace pistol was manufactured in 1932, the second year these were produced. The accompanying factory letter confirms the pistols configuration. It was shipped to Dunham, Carrigan & Hayden Company, San Francisco, California April 8, 1932. The left side of the slide is marked with the Colt, one block, two line factory address and patent dates with the Rampant Colt stamped behind the legend and in front of the slide serrations. The right side is marked with “COLT .22 LONG/ RIFLE”. The left trigger guard is marked “3/Colt VP” proof mark with the right side of the trigger guard marked with number “20” inspector mark. It is fitted with the Colt factory checkered trigger, wide spur hammer, checkered arched mainspring housing, and checkered slide stop and thumb safety. This example is fitted with the standard wide blade front sight and the early first model adjustable rear sight. It is also fitted with a set of original Colt factory checkered walnut grips. It comes with an original Colt two-tone ACE magazine marked: “COLT/ACE/22LR” on the base plate. CONDITION: Very fine with 85% plus of the original blue finish overall showing edge and high spot wear with blue loss on the front edges of the slide with some light thinning and browning on the front grip strap and top of the checkered mainspring housing. The grips are also in very fine condition with nice distinct checkering overall showing some light wear across the tops of the checkering, mixed with a couple of minor nicks/handling marks. Automatic Pistol - Serial no. C184617, 45 ACP cal., 5 inch round
bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1937, the left
side of the matching numbered slide has the standard two-line
address and patent dates while the right has the standard National Match and Colt markings followed by the Rampant Colt. The left of the trigger guard is marked “P/VP” while the right is marked “38”, and the standard Government Model marking is over
the serial number on the right of the frame. The replacement blued barrel is marked
“P” on the left of the lug. It is fitted with blade front and notch rear sights, checkered trigger, replacement slide stop, thumb safety, and wide hammer, an arched checkered mainspring housing, a replacement full blue “S” marked magazine, and a pair of checkered walnut grips.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 75% of the original blue finish and the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina, primarily on edges and the grip straps, and a few scattered light handling/takedown marks. The grips are also fine with some scattered light blemishes in the otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Exceptional Nickel Plated Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket Semi-Automatic Pistol with Pearl Grips and Box - Serial no. 287251, 25 ACP cal., 2 inch round bbl., nickel finish, pearl grips. Manufactured in 1921 with standard two-line address/patent dates and Rampant Colt on the left of the slide, caliber marking on the right, serial number on the left of the frame, and “1/VP” and “99” marked trigger guard. It is fitted with blade and notch sights in a slide-top groove and a pair of smooth pearl grips with Colt medallions. Includes a period correct, replacement Colt maroon box with additional “PEARL NICKEL” label.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 99% plus of the original nickel finish with only the slightest handling marks. The grips are also excellent with only the slightest handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with some moderate handling/storage wear.
