Very Scarce Swiss K31 Single-Shot Straight
Pull Bolt Action Target Rifle in .30-06 Sprg. Reportedly Produced for The Swiss Shooting Club of Mexico - Serial no. P269586, 30-06 Springfield cal., 26 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Reportedly one of 20 special configuration K31 straight pull bolt action rifles which were ordered for the Swiss Shooting Club of Mexico (Schweizer Schuetzen Mexico) in the 1970s, chambered for the U.S. .30-06 Springfield cartridge instead of the standard 7.5x55 mm Swiss chambering. This was due to a Mexican government prohibition on the importation of the Swiss cartridge. However, the club was allowed to utilize surplus .30-06 ammunition sourced from the Mexican army, resulting in the request for the specific chambering. The rifles for the order were converted from existing unissued service rifles, likely by Hammerli Lenzburg, with new barrels and a “P” prefix added to the existing serial number (indicating private ownership). Due to the extra 8 mm length of the .30-06 cartridge the standard 7.5 mm Swiss magazines supplied with the rifles could not be loaded with the new chambering, limiting the rifles to single shot only. This specific example features standard winged fixed blade front and tangent rear sights, along with “F+/W” marked globe front sight attached to the standard front sight body and “F+/W” marked micrometer target peep rear sight attached to the rear of the receiver, Swiss “cross in shield” crest on top of the chamber, “86 30-06” marked barrel knox, and bright “P” prefix added in front of the serial number on the left side of the receiver. With matching serial numbers on the bolt body and magazine. Fitted in an attractive oiled smooth walnut stock with steel buttplate. Not only a standout example of a Swiss K31, but also of a reportedly limited number of rifles ordered for the Schweizer Schuetzen Mexico. CONDITION: Excellent as factory converted to a .30-06 Springfield chambered target rifle, retaining 98% plus of original arsenal deep blue finish with attractive plum coloration on the rear sight base, limited minor edge wear on the barrel bands, and limited handling marks. The stock is also excellent with rich oil finish, distinct walnut grain, crisp finger grasping grooves, and limited minor handling marks overall. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,500

Scarce World War II British PIAT Anti-Tank Grenade Launcher - Serial no. 99303, N/A , 9 1/2 inch
round bbl., tan paint finish, metal stock. Developed in 1942, the PIAT (Projector, Infantry, Anti-Tank) was
the British answer to the American “Bazooka” line of weapons, essentially a giant spigot mortar, with a
rod powered by a very heavy spring plunging into a round to strike a booster charge, which would both
launch the round and reset the striker rod for the next shot. Integrated into the body are a set of flip up post
front and 3-peep rear sights for direct fire operation, and a spirit level equipped indirect fire sight for both high and low angle fire, with a maximum listed
range of 375 yards. Also fitted with a plastic pistol grip, dual canvas slings, lace-on canvas cheek rest and a steel buttplate that doubles as the charging
mechanism for the internal spring with lace-on canvas recoil pad.
CONDITION: Fine, with 80% of the tan paint finish, showing some scuffs, dings and areas of oxidization. The “shelf ” for positioning the round to be fired shows
a number of dents, and is slightly bent inward at the front. The canvas items show mild staining, with heavier stains and wear on the recoil pad. Mechanically untested. Estimate: 1,600 - 2,500
