Rare World War II German Walther No Date “ac” Code P.38 Semi-Automatic Pistol With Luger Holster - Serial no. 7994, 9 mm Luger cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue finish, plastic grips. Manufactured in October, possibly into November, of 1940, the Walther “ac” code P.38 pistols without a date marking only saw serial production in an estimated range between 7271 and 9840, with approximately 2570 produced, before a date was added to the “ac” code on subsequent production as detailed on page 176 of “The P.38 Pistol: Volume One” by Warren Buxton. These pistols were issued and extensively used during the war, making examples in any condition difficult to obtain.
Features fixed blade front and notch
rear sights, with the left side of the
slide marked “P.38 ac.”“Eagle/359”
military acceptance proofs present on
multiple components. With matching
serial numbers on the barrel, slide,
and frame along with “994” partial on
the underside of the locking lug. Fitted
with a pair of ribbed Bakelite grips with
“994” partials on the interior and an
unnumbered “P.38” marked magazine.
Includes “eagle/WaA706” proofed, “gxy
1942” and “P.08” marked leather Luger
flap holster, extra unmarked magazine,
and generic leather soft case.
CONDITION: fine, retaining 70% plus original
high polish blue finish with scattered light
edge wear, scattered holster pattern wear, and smooth grey patina. The grips are very fine. Holster is fine. Mechanically excellent. It would take some time to find another no date “ac” code Walther P.38 in any condition.

World War II German Mauser “byf” Code “41” Date “Black
Widow” P.08 Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 5805, 9 mm
Luger cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue finish, plastic grips. Features fixed blade
front and notch rear sights, with date code “41” marked on the extension
and “byf” manufacturer code on the front toggle link. The barrel and frame
are marked with “eagle” and “eagle/655” proofs. Left side of the frame marked
“P.08.” Matching visible serial numbers on the barrel, extension, and frame, with matching
“65” partials on the takedown lever, trigger, side plate, toggle links, breech block, and sear. Fitted with a pair of checkered black plastic grips and a blued “P.08”, “fxo”, and “eagle/37” marked magazine with black plastic base.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 90% plus blue finish remaining with limited light thinning, limited minor pitting, and
minor handling marks.
Mechanically excellent.

Luftwaffe P.08 Luger Semi-Automatic
Pistol - Serial no. 5150, 9 mm Luger Auto cal.,
4 inch round bbl., blue/straw finish, walnut grips.
Manufactured in 1936 under contract with the
German Luftwaffe (air force), this example is one of
an estimated total of 2,900 P.08 pistols produced that
year in the 4400-7500 serial number range as found on page 260 of
“Third Reich Lugers” by Jan C. Still. Features fixed blade front and notch
rear sights, “1937” chamber date, C-2 type “H(anchor)K/KRIEGHOFF/SUHL” marking on the front toggle link, and three Luftwaffe “eagle” proofs on the
right of the extension. Matching visible serial numbers on the barrel, extension, and frame, with matching “50” partials on the takedown lever, trigger, side plate, toggle links, and breech block. The number “F1-802” electro penciled on multiple components. Fitted with a pair of correct unmarked checkered grips and nickel finished magazine with aluminum base renumbered to match. Includes and extra magazine with hardwood base numbered to another pistol.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 80% plus original blue finish and 60% straw colors with limited light holster pattern edge
wear, thinning on the
extension and grip
frame, minor spotting, and light handling marks. Grips
are excellent. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,500 - 5,500

side of the slide is
marked “P.38 and
“ac/41” with the
visible numbers
matching. The right
side of the barrel lug
is marked with the
number “44” and the
“Eagle/359” proof, the
left side of the barrel lug is marked “8.83”. Fitted with ribbed Bakelite grips having six open lines at the screw holes. Both of the magazines are professionally re-numbered to match the gun on the bottom lips of the bases, and one is marked on the left side “P.38v” and with an upside down “Eagle/135”
and has a high polish blue finish. The other magazine is marked “P.38” on the left side and has two “Eagle/359” proofs on the spine with a phosphate finish. Includes a hard shell leather holster marked on the back “P38” over “1941” and is marked between the two belt loops “gtg/1941”, “1941” and “Eagle/WaA107”.
CONDITION: Very fine as professionally restored with most of high polish finish remaining. The grips are also very fine. Mechanically excellent. The holster is very good with a black polish finish. Estimate: 1,500 - 2,500
