     chopperlump barrels featuring a ramped beaded blade front sight, a three leaf (one standing, two folding) rear sight on the matted quarter rib, front sling
eye on the under rib, “WILKINSONS. PALL MALL. LONDON. S.W.” marked on the left tube and “FOR CORDITE 500 3’ CASE” on the right, scroll engraving at the breech, and chambers with a single extractor. The flats are marked with London nitro proofs and list the load at 80 grains Cordite and a max
570 grain bullet. The barrels are fitted to a beautifully casehardened bolstered boxlock action which displays
floral scroll engraving surrounding “WILKINSONS/PALL MALL/LONDON.” signatures on either side before extending to the toplever, triggerguard, and both tangs. The
rifle features bushed firing pins, double triggers, and a tang mounted manual safety with gold inlaid “SAFE”. The rifle is mounted with a beautifully figured and multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and a pistol grip stock with teardrop carved drop points, a horn grip cap, shadowline cheekpiece, rear sling eye, blank silver initial oval, and an orange rubber recoil pad. Length of pull 14 5/8 inches. Weight 10 lbs. 6 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 98% of the reapplied blue and casehardened finishes with light handling evidence, scattered minor spotting, some softening of the barrel markings, plum patina on the barrels, some chipping at the wood edges, and sharp recut checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.

 LOT 3548 Factory Engraved Charles Lancaster Sidelock Ejector Double Rifle with Case - Serial no. 12510, 6.5 mm cal., 26 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. This rifle was manufactured in 1907 per page 121 of Nigel Brown’s “British Gunmakers Volume One: London”. Built with blued steel barrels featuring a ramped beaded blade front sight with a flip-up moon sight, three leaf (two folding, on standing) rear sight on the rear quarter rib which is marked “CHARLES LANCASTER. 11 PANTON STREET. HAYMARKET LONDON.”, import mark under the forend, and period London nitro proofs. The barrels are fitted to a casehardened self-opening sideclipped sidelock action which displays highly attractive floral scroll engraving surrounding “C. LANCASTER/LONDON” banners on either side and “CHARLES LANCASTER” signatures on either lockplate. The gun features removable firing pins, chambers with automatic ejectors, double triggers, and an automatic tang safety with gold inlaid “SAFE” and secondary safety bar. Mounted with a beautifully figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and a round knob pistol grip stock with shadowline cheekpiece, blank silver inscription oval, and leather cover recoil pad. Includes a canvas bound takedown case with reproduction trade label, a pair of nickel snap caps, a nickel oiler, and cleaning tools. Length of pull 14 9/16 inches. Weight 9 lbs. 10 oz. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally refurbished, retaining 99% blue and casehardened finishes with minor handling evidence and some minor areas of subsurface spotting. There is a crack at the upper right stock horn; otherwise, the wood is very fine with a few minor marks and sharp checkering. The case is very good. Mechanically excellent.
