Factory Master Giovanelli and Cortini Signed and Game Scene Engraved Perazzi SCO/C Over/Under Shotgun Two Barrel Set with Case - Serial no. 120021, 20 gauge, 29 9/16 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Built with blued steel barrels featuring a single nickel bead sight on the matted flat solid rib which is marked with a gold “1” at the base, factory marking on the left of the chamber, light engraving surrounding the upper chamber area, and 2001 dated Italian proofs on the flat listing 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to a wonderfully engraved and coin finished sideplated boxlock action displaying floral scrollwork as well as a trio of exceptional highly detailed game scenes. The left sideplate shows two pointers flushing a pair of quail from cover in a field scene, the right sideplate has two setters flushing a pair of snipe from cover, and the underside displays a proud pointer while retrieving a shot quail in his mouth. The scrollwork then extends to the pierced toplever which has a gold “1”, the triggerguard, and the tang. The gun is signed on the triggerplate “Bottega C. Giovanelli inc, D. Cortini” for the famous engraving firm as well as specifically Italian Master Engraver Dario Cortini. The gun features a single trigger and an automatic tang mounted safety with gold “S” indicator. The gun is mounted with highly figured and multi- point checkered walnut forend which has engraved coin fittings with a gold “1” on the Deeley style release and straight grip stock with blank inscription oval and leather covered recoil pad. Included is an extra matching set of 29 9/16 inch solid rib barrels with interchangeable chokes. Also included is a factory

takedown case and 21 extra choke tubes for the 28 gauge set. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .632/.630 inches; choke constriction .008/.013 inches; minimum wall thickness .034/.035 inches; 1 5/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 16 inch length of pull; cast-off; weight 7 lbs. 8 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and 98% original coin finishes with minor handling evidence, a small area ox light oxidation under the toplever and on the right fence, and minor spots of discoloration in the coin. The wood is also excellent with a few minor scratches, light wear on the recoil pad, and sharp checkering. The case is very good. The extra barrel set is excellent. Mechanically excellent.
