Rare Winchester Model 61 Slide Action Rifle in Desirable .22 LR for Shot Only Caliber with Routledge Bore - Serial no. 46981, 22 LR Shot cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1939 and subsequently restored/refurbished. The top of the receiver has been factory matted. The left side of the Routledge bore barrel is
marked “-WINCHESTER/PROOF STEEL-MODEL 61- WINCHESTER-/-TRADEMARK- .22 L.R.- FOR SHOT ONLY” at the breech. The top of the barrel
and top left of the receiver are stamped with a Winchester factory proof. The serial number “46981” is stamped on
the frame and trigger guard with a “W” stamped beneath. The magazine tube has the correct triangular loading port, and the upper tang is correctly drilled and tapped for the addition of a sight with filler screws in place. Grooved flat
bottom forearm and a smooth pistol grip stock with a checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine with 98% plus professionally refinished blue, some light handling marks, and a very faint trace of edge wear. The wood is and old refinish with some small dings. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,000 - 4,500
LOT 3034 Pre-World War II Winchester Model 61 Slide Action Rifle - Serial no. 13241, 22 RF Short cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1936 and upgraded to octagon barrel configuration. Beaded blade
front and elevation adjustable rear notch sights, first style barrel inscription, Winchester “WP” proofs on the custom made barrel
and receiver at the breech, matching numbers on the receiver and trigger guard assembly, round top receiver, smooth trigger, checkered hammer catch, and
factory drilled and tapped upper tang with filler screws in place. 11 groove slide handle and smooth pistol grip stock with checkered blue steel buttplate.
CONDITION: Fine with 75% original blue finish on the receiver, sharp markings and proofs, some edge wear and spotting,
trace of touched up pitting on front magazine ring, and refinished magazine tube. The refinished wood is also very fine with some small dings. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,000
LOT 3035 Winchester Model 61 Slide Action 22 Magnum Rifle with Original Box - Serial no. 329886, 22 Winchester magnum RF cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1962. Features beaded blade front and elevation adjustable rear notch sights, standard barrel markings, Winchester “WP” proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, and matching serial numbers on the upper and lower receiver groups. Fitted with a flat bottom grooved walnut forearm and smooth pistol grip stock with checkered plastic Winchester buttplate. Includes original box. CONDITION: Excellent plus overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks. Mechanically untested. Box is very fine. Estimate: 2,250 - 3,500

Pre-World War II Winchester Model 62 Slide Action Rifle with Factory Box - Serial no. 28501A, 22 S L LR cal., 23 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut
stock. Manufactured in 1935. Fitted with beaded blade front and elevation adjustable rear sights. The barrel is marked with the first style model and caliber markings. The chamber and top of the receiver are marked with Winchester “WP” proofs. Mounted in a straight grain walnut 10 groove forearm and straight grip stock. Includes the matching number Winchester box with affixed with Montgomery Ward shipping label. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% original blue finish with slide retraction wear and limited handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good with torn corners and tape repairs.
