Excellent 1940 Dated Mauser Banner
“Eagle/L” Police Luger Semi-Automatic
Pistol with Matching Magazine - Serial no. 5526x, 9 mm Luger cal.,
4 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1940, this
Mauser pistol is fitted out and inspected for use as a police sidearm. Blade
front and notch rear sights, with “1940” and “eagle/L” inspection marks on the
chamber, the commercial style Mauser “banner” logo on the front toggle link, the
barrel is unmarked save for the “8,84” internal diameter marking and alignment
mark, the grips are unnumbered, the trigger is numbered one off with “25” (likely a factory error), with otherwise matching visible serial numbers overall. Finish is full blue, with walnut grips. The matching magazine has a blue body with alloy base.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 98% plus original blue finish, with light handling
marks. Grips are also excellent, with minimal
handling evidence and
crisp checkering.
Mechanically excellent.

Excellent Mauser “byf/44” Code P.38 Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial
no. 2558b, 9 mm cal., 4 7/8 inch round bbl., blue finish, plastic grips. Fixed
sights, with the left side of the slide marked “P.38” and “byf/44” and the right “eagle/swastika” and “eagle/135”. Finish is full blue, with matching numbers on the slide, frame barrel and locking block. With a pair of ribbed brown plastic grips and a “jvd” marked magazine.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 98% plus original blue finish, showing some rubbing on the underside of the frame and along the high edges, and minor handling marks. The excellent grips show light scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,000 - 4,500

“S/42” Code “1937” Date Luger Semi-
Automatic Pistol, Serial Number “1000s”, with Matching Magazine -
Serial no. 1000s, 9 mm Luger cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue/straw finish,
walnut grips. Features blade front and notch rear sights, “1937” on the chamber,
“S/42” on the toggle link, drooped wing “eagle/63” proofs on the extension and
barrel, and “eagle” firing proofs on the barrel, extension, and breech block. Straw
colored small parts and niter blue finished springs, pins and screws. All visible serial
numbers match, along with matching “00” partials on small parts, except the checkered walnut grips. With a blue finished magazine with alloy base with matching “1000/s/+” above an “Eagle/63”
proof on the bottom.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 90% plus original blue finish and 90% straw colors, with minor specks of surface rust visible mostly on the frame, light holster pattern edge wear on the
muzzle, minor edge wear, and otherwise
limited handling marks. Grips
are very fine with minor dings in
the otherwise crisp checkering.
Mechanically excellent.

Outstanding Pre-War Walther .22 Caliber Model PP Semi-Automatic Pistol with Original Matching Walther Box and Accessories - Serial no. 134362P, 22 LR cal., 3 7/8 inch bbl., blue finish, black checkered plastic grips. This is an unaltered commercial production Walther Model PP pistol in 22 caliber. This pistol has the distinctive dished slide specifically designed for the
22 and 25 caliber pistols. The serial number is stamped vertically on the right side of the frame. It is marked with a Commercial “Crown N” proof on the chamber area and muzzle. The left side of the slide is marked with the Walther Banner followed by “Waffenfabrik Walther, Zella-Mehlis (Thur)/ Walthers Patent Cal.22” followed by “MOD PP”. The slide has a 60 degree safety lever
and no cartridge indicator pin. The pistol has a high-polish, commercial blue finish. It has the late production black plastic checkered grips with the Walther Banner at the top on each side with a black finger extension magazine. It is complete with the original matching Walther serial numbered factory wood-grain box with green paper label on the lower right corner, a yellow Walther marked cleaning or polishing cloth, an original brass cleaning rod, colored Walther instruction manual, and the Walther tin box holds a small cleaning cloth, small vial of oil. CONDITION: Excellent plus with 99% of the bright original high polish blued finish. The box is
in fine showing wear on the edges and corners with some slight fading of the color overall. The label remains mostly intact on the front and side of the box. Mechanically excellent. An excellent pre-war commercial Walther PP in desirable 22 caliber.
