Exceptional World War II Berlin-Lubecker
“duv 44” Code G43 Semi-Automatic Rifle with ZF4 Sniper Scope,
Scope Case and Manual - Serial no. 5096h, 7.92 mm Mauser cal., 22 inch round bbl.,
blue/phosphate finish, laminate stock. Manufactured by Berlin-Lubecker on a rough forged receiver marked
“G. 43 duv 44.” on the left. Hooded blade front sight and military tangent rear sight graduated from 1-12. Both the
receiver and bolt carrier are forged and machined, with the manual catch on the right side of the carrier and hollow cocking knob.
Smooth pistol grip laminated stock with a cupped trapdoor buttplate. Matching serial number marked on the receiver, bolt carrier,
electro-penciled on the bolt, extractor and bolt housing, and stamped on bottom of the buttstock. Waffenamt stamps visible on various
components including the magazine and stock. Right side mounting rail fitted with a ZF4 scope. The left of the scope body is marked
“Gw ZF4”, “dow” next to a blue filled triangle, and numbered “4600”. The scope mount base is numbered “5112” above an “eagle/214”
proof. “awj” code “K43” marked magazine. Fitted with a period brown leather sling. Includes a period black painted scope case with a
Waffenamt stamped on the inside of the lid and green canvas hanging strap, scope sunshade, modern scope lens covers, three extra
“K43” marked magazines, a leather double magazine pouch, and an original K43/ZF4 manual along with a few small parts inside the butt
compartment of the rifle.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retains 95% original blue and phosphate finishes with some minor cycling wear and some light handling marks. Replacement magazine retains 80% original black painted finish. Stock is very fine with defined edges, a minor non-structural stress crack running behind the receiver into the left wrist, a filled in sliver on the left of the buttstock, a few chips, some light handling marks, and crisp stamps. Mechanically excellent. Scope and mount are both very fine, with slightly hazy but clear optics. Included scope case is fine, and the manual is good with some general age related wear.
Estimate: 6,500 - 9,500
CONDITION: Fine, retaining 60% plus original blue finish on the balance with smooth mostly brown patina focused the gas chamber, receiver and trigger guard, along with light edge wear, minor spotting, limited pitting, and otherwise mild service wear. The stock is also fine as sanded with partially removed proof and a few minor scuffs. Mechanically excellent.

World War II German Walther “ac/43” Code G41(W) Semi-
Automatic Rifle - Serial no. 3507, 7.92 mm Mauser cal., 22 inch round bbl., blue finish, laminate
stock. These rifles were manufactured in limited production, and utilize a “gas trap” style piston system
surrounding the barrel near the muzzle, which was inspired by the earlier Bang rifle system. Features
hooded blade front and adjustable tangent rear sights (graduated from 1 to 12), a small notch on the right of the rear
sight base intended for use with a ZF41 scope, all milled internal components, and stamped barrel bands and trigger guard. The left of the receiver is marked “G.41” with the serial
number followed by “ac/43”, and “eagle/359” proofed. Fitted with a “eagle/359” proofed laminated beech stock and black resin handguard. With matching “3507” serial numbers on the bolt, both locking lugs, firing pin housing, bolt carrier, rear sight, trigger housing, magazine floor plate, gas chamber, gas nozzle, and the underside of the buttstock.
