CONDITION: Excellent plus. This rifle retains 98% plus of the bright original blue finish. The casehardened components retain 97% vivid original colors. The blue components show only traces of storage wear. The barrel and half-magazine are free from the scuff marks and other finish wear typically found on takedown rifles. The Winchester factory markings and flawlessly executed factory engraving are extremely crisp. The stock and forearm are both in excellent plus condition; nearly all of the high polish piano finish remains. The checkering on the pistol grip and forearm is very sharp; wear is limited to several very minor handling marks and two small spots of flaking on the lower left side of the stock near the buttplate. This is an excellent plus example of a high condition, exceptional, factory engraved Winchester Model 1886 Takedown Rifle in caliber .33 W.C.F. Provenance: The Quail Creek Collection.
Estimate: 60,000 - 90,000
