Outstanding Factory Master Claudio Tomasoni Signed and Game Scene Engraved Ivo Fabbri Sidelock Over/ Under Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 3361, 12 gauge, 29 1/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/brush bright finish, walnut stock. Ivo Fabbri began his career in firearms along side one of the most well-known names in the business, Daniele Perazzi. After they split, Perazzi went on to create arguably the world’s finest sporting guns, and Fabbri perused his dream to build the finest guns in the world, with this gun being the embodiment of that goal. Fabbri only builds some 30 guns a year; each is hand crafted from the ground up by some of Italy’s finest craftsmen, making guns such as these not all that commonly available for public sale. The gun is built with blued barrels featuring a single nickel bead sight on the file cut matted solid rib, “IVO FABBRI BRESCIA ITALY” marked on the left of the upper barrel and “VACUUM ARC REMELTING STEEL” on the right, a band of engraving at the breech, import mark under the forend,
2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and 1980 dated Italian proofs on the flats. The barrels are mated to
a gorgeous brush bright finished sidelock action which displays highly attractive scroll engraving over a matted background and surrounding a trio of outstanding highly detailed Bulino engraved game scenes and “IVO FABBRI” on

either side before flowing off of the action onto the triggerguard, toplever, and both the upper and lower tangs. The game scenes consist of a flock of a mallards in flight over the water on the left, a rabbit bounding from the foliage running from an unseen predator, and a woodcock flushing from cover ahead of a pair of pointers in an upland scene. The engraving is signed on either lockplate at the low rear as well as on the triggerplate to the right of the trigger “inc. C. Tomasoni” for renowned Italian Master Engraver Claudio Tomasoni. The gun features a single non-selective trigger and a tang mounted manual safety switch.
