Excellent Factory Engraved Connecticut Shotgun Mfg. Model 21-6 Double Barrel 16 Gauge Shotgun with Case - Serial no. W38246, 16 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. This wonderfully engraved shotgun features a single red bead sight on the solid matte rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers and chokes marked as “MODIFIED/L-MODIFIED”. The frame is beautifully engraved with intricate English style scroll work, deep relief oak leaves on the fences, hunting dogs on the right and left faces, two game birds on the underside and a hunting dog on the triggerguard. All engravings are painstakingly executed and finely detailed in the scroll. With a single selective gold plated trigger and automatic tang mounted safety. Mounted on a AAA fancy walnut beavertail forearm with an ebony tip insert, CSM “A Carved” fancy bordered checkering and straight grip stock with a gold initial oval and solid rubber recoil pad. Includes a leather Connecticut Shotgun Mfg. takedown case with inner labels noting the specifics on the gun. Case includes a canvas case cover, two snap caps, oil bottle and a two- piece wood cleaning rod. Barrel measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech face: R .663 L .663; wall thickness at 9 inches from breech face: R .097 L .097; Stock measurements are: length of pull 14 1/2 inches; drop at comb 1 7/16 inches; drop at heel 2 5/16 inches; 0 cast; 1/8 inch toe in; overall weight 7 lbs. 13.76 oz. CONDITION: Excellent with 99% original blue finish. With some scattered light handling marks and a very small straight scratch at the right muzzle end. The frame is excellent with crisp clear engravings and light handling marks. The wood is also excellent with great figuring and some mild surface scratches. Mechanically excellent. Case is excellent with some light impressions and minor scratches on the leather. Estimate: 10,000 - 18,000
