20 gauge, 30 1/8 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Built with blued Proof Steel
barrels featuring a single red bead sight on the matted flat vent rib, standard C.S.M.C. markings, 2 inch wedges of scroll engraving at either breech, chambers
marked improved cylinder/modified, and 3 inch
chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are
fitted to a blued action which displays highly attractive
scroll engraving surrounding a quartet of relief engraved oval game panel scenes featuring a pheasant cock in flight on the left, a setter with a shot pheasant hen in his mouth, a standing pheasant cock on the right, and a pointing setter on the triggerguard all cut in fine detail. The gun features a single gold plated selective trigger and a tang mounted manual safety. The gun is mounted with a gorgeous feather crotch figured and multi-point
checkered beavertail forend with engraved fittings as well as a pistol grip stock with checkered flats, engraved
blue grip cap, gold inscription oval marked “RWB”, and a Winchester rubber recoil pad. Included is a hard plastic Holland & Holland branded takedown case. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .613/.613 inches; choke constriction .008/.015 inches; minimum wall thickness .041/.042 inches; 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 inch drop at heel; 14 5/8 inch length of pull; slight cast-off; weight 7 lbs. 14 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue finish with minor handling evidence, a few tiny scratches in the wood, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.

Cased Winchester Model 23 Grand Canadian Two Gun Set -
A) Winchester 20 Gauge Model 23 Grand Canadian Shotgun - Serial no. GC2, 20 gauge, 25 1/2
inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Manufactured as one of 50 Grand Canadian two gun sets, with this example being the second produced. Blued Winchester Proof steel with dual white bead sights on the
raised matted vent rib, 3 inch chambers with ejectors, and chokes marked improved cylinder/modified. The coin action displays maple leaf clusters on all sides surrounded by floral scroll with a pair of gold inlaid maple leaves on the underside, a single leaf on the triggerguard flanked by scrolls, and a matching motif on the top lever. Features a gold washed single trigger and
a tang mounted selective safety. Mounted in a beautifully figured, fleur-de-lis checkered walnut beavertail forend with engraved
fittings and Deeley release and straight grip stock with solid Winchester recoil pad. Cased with “B”. Includes a takedown case for both guns. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore nine inches from the breech .617/.618 inches; choke constriction .005/.015 inches; minimum wall thickness .031/.030 inches; 1 7/16 inch drop at the comb; 2 5/16 inch drop at the heel; 14 7/16 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue and coin finishes with limited handling marks, and crisp engraving. Wood is very fine with some dings and scratches, and a couple tiny hairline cracks coming off the lower tang. Mechanically excellent. Case is very fine. B) Winchester Model 23 Grand Canadian Shotgun - Serial no. 2GC, 12 gauge, 25 1/2 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued Winchester Proof steel with dual white bead sights on the raised matted vent rib, 3 inch chambers with ejectors, and chokes marked improved cylinder/improved modified. The coin action displays maple leaf clusters on all sides surrounded by floral scroll with a pair of gold inlaid maple leaves on the underside, a single leaf on the triggerguard flanked by scrolls, and a matching motif on the top lever. Features a gold washed single trigger and a tang mounted selective safety. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retaining 98% plus original blue and 99% plus original coin finishes with light handling marks, some
light spotting/pitting under the forend, and crisp engraving. Wood is very fine with some dings and scratches, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
