Exceptionally Fine Antique Winchester Model 1886 Lever Action Rifle in .45-70 WCF Upgraded to Special Order Deluxe Configuration - Serial no. 105229, 45-70 WCF cal., 26 inch octagon bbl., blue/ casehardened finish, walnut
stock. Manufactured in 1895, this is an
exceptionally fine Model 1886 that has been professionally upgraded to a special
order deluxe configuration and is chambered in the ever-popular .45-70 WCF The Model 1886 was the first lever action repeater design by John Browning and came near the beginning of his long and fruitful relationship with Winchester. The top barrel
flat has the standard two-line address and the caliber marking at the breech. The model marking is on the upper tang, while the two-line patent marking and serial number are on the lower tang. It is fitted with a
combination front sight, folding ladder rear sight, and a tang mounted peep sight. It also has a special order pattern half magazine. It is mounted
with a finely figured set of deluxe style, “H” pattern checkered forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine as professionally restored and upgraded, retains 99% plus of the blue finish and vibrant case colors with only the slightest handling marks and
crisp refreshed markings. The upgraded wood is also very fine with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Attractive Finely Engraved E. Remington & Sons Rolling Block Rifle with Desirable “NRA” Serial Number - Serial no. NRA2001, 45-70 Government cal., 30 inch octagon bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. The top barrel flat is marked “E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION,N.Y.” with the desirable “NRA2001” serial number on the top right of the receiver, which also shows 50% coverage, masterfully executed, floral scroll engraving. The engraving continues on the barrel
at the muzzle and breech, forearm nose cap, buttplate, breech block, and hammer, as well as the spirit level globe front and
tang mounted peep sights. Mounted with a magnificently contrasted, multipoint checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with shadow-line cheek piece. The inside of the

forearm is signed “PATRICK BIELANSKI/04-15-2001” and “TERRY SLOCUM/TOOLMAKER”. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retains 99% plus original blue and casehardened finishes with minimal handling evidence.
