World War II German Walther “ac/43” Code G41(W) Semi-Automatic Rifle - Serial no. 3197, 7.92 mm Mauser cal., 22 inch round bbl., blue finish, laminate stock. These rifles were manufactured in limited production and utilize a “gas trap” style piston system surrounding the barrel near the muzzle, which was inspired by the earlier Bang rifle system. Features hooded blade front and adjustable tangent rear sights (graduated from 1 to 12), a small notch on the right of the rear sight base intended for use with a ZF41 scope, all milled internal components, and stamped barrel bands and trigger guard. The left of the receiver is marked “G.41” with the serial number followed by “ac/43”, and “eagle/359” proofed. Fitted with a double “eagle/359” proofed laminated beech stock and black resin handguard. With matching “3197” serial numbers on the bolt, both locking lugs, firing pin housing, bolt carrier, rear sight, trigger housing, magazine floor plate, gas chamber, gas nozzle, and the underside of the buttstock. Includes a dark leather sling. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 75% blue finish on receiver assembly, trigger guard, and rear barrel band with refinished gas chamber, gas nozzle, and front band; pitting on the buttplate, light edge wear, smooth brown/grey patina, and otherwise mild service wear. The stock is fine with a few spots of de-lamination near the buttplate, cracks at the wrist, and clear proofs. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 5,000 - 7,500

World War II German Berlin- Lubecker “duv 44” Code G43 Semi-Automatic Rifle with Manual - Serial no. 4013g, 7.92 mm Mauser cal., 22 inch round bbl., blue finish, laminate stock. Manufactured by Berlin-Lubecker in 1944. Features hooded blade front and adjustable tangent rear (graduated from 1 to 12) sights, rough forged receiver marked “G. 43 duv 44.” and “eagle/214” proofed on the left, “eagle/214” proofed forged bolt carrier, and scope mounting rail on the right side of the receiver. Fitted with a smooth laminated beech wood stock with “eagle/WaA214” and “eagle/214” proofs on the right and trapdoor steel buttplate, smooth brown Bakelite handguard, and “aye” code, “eagle/WaA848” proofed, and “K43” marked phosphate finished magazine. With matching serial numbers marked on the receiver and bolt carrier, electro-penciled on the dust cover, bolt and extractor; and stamped on bottom of the buttstock. Includes a leather sling and original German K43 manual.
CONDITION: Very good, retaining traces of original blue finish with light edge wear, smooth brown and grey patina, minor spotting/freckling, and otherwise light handling evidence. The stock is also very good with clear proofs and wire wrap pattern wear around the butt and minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent Estimate: 2,000 - 3,500

Soviet Izhevsk Model 91/30 Mosin- Nagant Bolt Action Sniper Rifle with Scope - Serial no. KX9921, 7.62x54 R cal., 29 inch round bbl., blue finish, hardwood stock. “1944” dated on the top of the breech, with arsenal applied matching number to the scope “B81538” visible on the left of the breech above a previous non-matching scope number. Standard left mounted PU scope marked with a star above a hammer and sickle above “91/30”
above “No b-81538”. These Mosin-Nagant 91/30 PU sniper rifles as well as an array of surplus World War II Soviet firearms are known to have seen use throughout the Vietnam War in the hands of Vietcong. This example is void of any import markings, indicating it is likely a Vietnam bringback. The scope mount is marked with the Izhevsk triangle logo. The bolt, floorplate and buttplate are matching serial numbered to the rifle. Fitted with a canvas/leather sling. CONDITION: Very fine, retains 75% arsenal refurbished blue finish mixed with areas of smooth brown patina. Stock is also fine as arsenal refurbished, with some scattered scratches, flaking of the outer coating, and defined edges. Mechanically excellent. Scope is very good with 80% original blue finish on the tube, and the mount retains 60% arsenal refurbished blue finish with some pitting visible underneath the finish, and the optics are slightly hazy but viewable. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,500
CONDITION: Very fine. The rifle retains 85% original blue finish, with the balance between a smooth gray patina and a smooth brown patina, and a purple hue on the bolt and rear receiver. There is some minor flaking on the barrel and some minor spotting mostly on the buttplate. The wood is fine with some scattered minor handling marks and a couple larger gouges on the underside of the stock. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,600 - 2,500

     LOT 3399 Steyr-Daimler “bnz” Code “43” Date K98 Bolt Action Rifle - Serial no. 6844, 8 mm cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, laminate stock. The top of the receiver ring is marked “bnz/43”, and the serial number and eagle firing proof are on the left side. “Mod. 98” is marked on the left receiver wall. The trigger guard is numbered to the gun and has two “eagle/77” proofs with and “eagle/WaA77” proof on the floor plate. The bolt assembly is numbered to the gun. Breech end of barrel has an eagle firing proof on left side and “bO” on right. Pistol grip stock with handguard and cupped buttplate.
