Excellent German Party Leader Walther PPK Semi-Automatic Pistol with Original Box - Serial no. 250963K, 7.65 mm auto cal.,
3 1/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, synthetic grips. Manufactured in 1939. This is an excellent example of a Walther model PPK
“Party Leader” pistol with the desirable and rare Political Party Leader grip. These PPKs when fitted with the Party Leader grip were officially known as the “Honor Weapon of the Political Leaders”, as they were only presented to high ranking officers of the
NSDAP for meritorious service to the party. This series of Party Leader Walther PPK pistols are most often found in the approximate serial number range of 850000-935000 and again in
the generally accepted 174000K-234965K serial number range. Although this example, serial number 250963K, is slightly higher than the noted serial number range it still appears to be an original Party Leader PPK, and there are a handful of other Party Leader gripped examples with serial numbers close on either side of this example that have previously been sold by Rock Island Auction Company, most notably serial number 247747K which was accompanied by a capture paper and also had its matching box. The one-piece wraparound grip has the distinctive large
eagle clutching a swastika encircled by a wreath at the top on both sides. The pistol is a 1939 production commercial model with the high polish Walther commercial blue finish and “Crown/N” proofmarks stamped on the right of the slide below the ejection port, on the right of the barrel at the muzzle and in the chamber area. 60 degree safety lever, cartridge indicator pin and lanyard loop on the bottom of the frame. The left side of the slide is marked with the Walther Banner followed by the factory legend and caliber in two lines and the designation “Mod. PPK.” The serial number is marked vertically on the right side of the frame behind the trigger with the last three digits “963” correctly scratched inside the left of the slide. It is complete with one all blued Walther marked magazine with finger extension. Includes its original Walther factory box with matching numbered end label and very faint red ink handwriting on the gold pictured gun on the lid of the box that appears to possibly read “PAUL H. DANIEL/250963K”, cleaning rod, extra standard magazine, manual, and cleaning kit tin.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retains 97% plus bright original high polish blue finish with some high edge wear, minimal handling marks, sharp checkering and slight warpage in the otherwise excellent grip. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good with some edge wear and tears in the lid corners. This is an excellent example of a desirable Walther PPK Party Leader pistol with its original box.
Estimate: 9,000 - 14,000

Excellent World War II German Walther Third
Issue Zero Series P.38 Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 05876, 9 mm Luger cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue finish,
synthetic grips. Manufactured between June 1939 to May 1940
as part of the initial run of Walther’s German military P.38 production, the Zero Series served to
“fine tune” the Walther HP to Wehrmacht specifications, and was an important stage in the pistol’s development. This particular example is a “third issue” example of a Zero Series found in the approximate
reported 03500-012999 serial range, continuing in the serial number sequence from the first and second issue Zero Series pistols, now improved with a round profile firing pin as opposed to the previous rectangular profile firing
pin found in the previous iterations. These Zero Series pistols are very scarce compared to standard production P.38 pistols and have become extremely popular among collectors due to how they illustrate the important changes made during production of the model. Features a white painted fixed blade front sight and red painted fixed notch rear sight, round firing pin, serrated takedown lever, and an exposed extractor. The slide is marked with the Walther banner and “P.38” on the left, with “eagle/359” proofs on various components.
Fitted with a correct magazine non-matching numbered “05965” on the left, only 89 numbers away from the pistol, with otherwise matching full serial number marked on the slide, frame, and barrel, and matching partial numbers on the locking block and inside of both grip panels.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 98% bright original high polish blue finish with some minor high edge wear. The sights retains 97% of the factory applied paint. Grips are also excellent, with some scuffs at the top of the left grip, and distinct checkering. Mechanically excellent.
Estimate: 5,000 - 8,000
