Double Signed Game Scene Engraved Beretta SO 6 EELL Over/Under Shotgun - Serial no. C14395B, 12 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued Bohler Antinit steel barrels with single steel bead on the matted vent rib, 1998 dated Italian proofs, choke tube system (light modified/modified installed), 3 inch chambers with ejectors, and a band of light floral scroll which extends on to the chamber extension. The bolstered coin sidelock action is masterfully engraved with wonderfully executed game scenes consisting of a pointer flushing a pair of pigeon in a field scene on the left side plate, a trio of ducks coming in for a landing on the right side plate, and a woodcock in a woods scene on the underside.
CONDITION: Very fine retaining 98% plus original blue finish with handling marks, patches of surface oxidation and patina on the action, and crisp engraving. Wood is very fine with some dings and scratches, a few minor chips in the varnish, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

The remainder of the action displays tight floral scroll. The engraving extends onto the pierced toplever which is also inlaid with a gold coronet, and
rolled triggerguard which has a blank initial
oval and the model on a panel flanked by
more floral scroll on the lower tang. The left side plate is signed “M. CANDITO”, and the trigger plate is signed “G. Ferraglio” for engraver Gabriel Ferraglio. Fitted with single checkered trigger and selective manual tang safety
with gold inlaid “S”. Mounted in a beautifully figured, magnificently contrasted, multipoint checkered walnut stock with engraved fittings, and Deeley forend release and pistol grip buttstock with checkered bare butt. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore measurement nine inches from the breech .720/.721 inches; minimum wall thickness .035/.034 inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at the comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at the heel; 14 3/4 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs. 2 oz.
