Side By Side Shotgun with Case - Serial
no. 922, 410 gauge, 25 1/2 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1999
and built with blued Bohler Stahl barrels with single steel bead on the concave solid rib which is gold inlaid “Abbiatico
& Salvinelli” toward the breech and engraved with a light spray of floral scroll, and three inch chambers. The barrels are mated to a coin sidelock action with spring loaded screws displaying elegant English tight scroll engraving which surrounds interspersed floral bouquets. The action is hand cut “FAMARS” on both sides with “VENERE” on the underside, and the
serial number gold inlaid on the lower tang. The elegant engraving is signed “INC HASSA” to the right of the trigger. The action is fitted with a single non-selective trigger and tang mounted automatic safety. Mounted in a beautifully figured and nicely contrasted multipoint checkered walnut splinter forend
with engraved fittings and Anson button release, and straight grip
stock with blank initial escutcheon and blued skeletonized buttplate around a checkered bare butt. Includes factory leather covered takedown case with canvas cover, snap caps, and an oiler. Stock measurements: 1 5/16 inch drop at the comb; 1 7/8 inch drop at the heel; 14 5/16 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs. 8 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 95% plus original blue and 99% plus original coin finishes with some light handling marks concentrated on the barrels, some light pitting on the barrels, and crisp engraving. Wood is excellent with a few dings and scratches concentrated on the buttstock, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
