Engraved and Gold Inlaid Smith & Wesson Model 58 Double Action
Revolver - Serial no. N188500, 41 Magnum cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1973. The barrel is
engraved with a spray of floral scroll coming off the a band of gold inlay at the frame. The frame and cylinder also display floral scroll on a matted background with flourettes at the front of the frame, leafy engraving at the top of both sides, and a band of gold at the rear of the cylinder. The work is unsigned, however it is clearly the work of a skilled artisan. Features serrated blade front and frame notch rear sights, wide checkered hammer, and
smooth trigger. Fitted with fancy figured smooth target grips with S&W medallions.
CONDITION: Excellent as embellished, retaining 99% plus blue finish with some light wear at the muzzle and a light cylinder drag
line. Grips are very fine with a couple minor scratches and an ill fitting left panel. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 5,500 - 8,500

Registered Magnum Double Action Revolver with 5 Inch Barrel and Factory Letter - Serial no. 54481, 357
magnum cal., 5 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Offered here is a highly sought after Registered Magnum procured by a Florida police department and is one of only 869 Registered Magnums manufactured with a 5 inch barrel. As confirmed in the accompanying factory letter, the
revolver was shipped on December 10, 1937, and delivered to the City of Lakeland, Lakeland, Florida, with a 5 inch barrel, McGivern gold bead front sight, square notch rear sight, blue finish, and checkered walnut
Magna grips. This shipment was for eight units and the City of Lakeland was billed at $35.45 each. Includes a
      City of Lakeland letter on city letterhead from the purchasing agent W.T. McIlwain requesting S&W to send notice when the revolvers shipped as well as having S&W handwritten notations listing the registration numbers (3234-3241) for the eight units. The registration number of this revolver is 3239. S&W’s reply to the City of Lakeland’s request is also included. The revolver also features a humpback hammer and matching serial numbers on the butt, right grip panel, cylinder and ejector shroud.
CONDITION: Very fine as a law enforcement procured revolver displaying all the wear and tear of spending a lifetime in the line of duty, retaining 85% original blue finish with holster wear and grip straps worn gray from spending years in the hand. The grips are excellent with some minor handling marks (mostly on the bottom) and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. This 5 inch S&W .357 Registered
Magnum revolver will make a perfect addition to any law enforcement collection.

New Mexico Shipped Smith & Wesson .357 Registered Magnum Double Action Revolver with Factory Letter -
Serial no. 54134, 357 magnum cal., 6 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. This .357 Registered Magnum (reg. no. 3048) is one of only 839 S&W manufactured with a 6 inch barrel. The accompanying factory letter confirms the 6 inch barrel, Patridge front sight, square notch rear sight, Magna stocks, and
Wesson (copy), Magna grips “do not permit the use of the Wesson Grip Adapter.” The revolver has a factory cockeye hammer and matching serial numbers are on the butt, right grip panel, cylinder, and ejector shroud.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% plus original blue finish with some holster type wear, some minor handling marks and a cylinder drag line. 95% original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are also excellent with some minor handling marks mostly on the bottom and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

blue finish. The letter states the revolver was shipped on October 1, 1937 and delivered to Charles Ilfield Co. of Santa Fe, New Mexico. It is fitted with a very rare factory cockeyed hammer option. The revolver was ordered by John Stephenson of Santa Fe as confirmed by his accompanying handwritten letter (copy) to S&W. In his letter Stephenson requested a grip adapter, but, as explained in S&W’s included response from Vice President D.B.
