Pre-War Colt Model
1903 Hammerless
.32 Pocket Semi-
Automatic Pistol
with Original Box
- Serial no. 507387,
32 ACP cal., 4 inch bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Colt
Model 1903 Pocket Automatic Pistol manufactured in
1934. The pistol has the Colt high polish commercial
blue finish and is fitted with Checkered walnut grips with
silver Rampant Colt medallions set in the top. The “two tone”
blue magazine is marked: “CAL.32/COLT” on the floor plate. The serial number
is located on the left side of the frame, and the left side of the trigger guard is
stamped with the numeral “1” above the “VP/Triangle” Colt proof mark. The left side
of the slide is marked with Colt’s Hartford Address and 1897 and 1903 patent dates in
two lines followed by the Rampant Colt behind the slide serrations. The right side of
the slide is marked: “COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE 32 RIMLESS SMOKELESS” in two lines
below the ejection port. The royal blue Colt carton has the blue and white label on one
end, the standard markings on the interior lid and bottom, and the serial number on the
underside. The carton contains the original wrapping paper.
CONDITION: Excellent plus, with 99% of the bright blue original finish. There are a few light
handling marks and some spotting on the otherwise pristine original blue finish. The grips
are also excellent plus with sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine and has some
edge wear on the exterior, with mild wear on the inside from the gun.

Excellent Pre-War Colt Super .38 Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 11807, 38 Super Auto cal., 5 inch round
bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1931, this is an excellent example of a pre-war Colt Super .38 pistol.
These Super .38 Semi-automatic pistols were first shown to the public at the August 1928 Camp Perry National
Matches and were available for purchase by the start of 1929. The left side of the matching numbered slide (numbered
in the firing pin recess and inside bottom) is marked with the two-line address and patent dates, while the right side bears
the model and caliber marking along with the Rampant Colt. The serial number is on the right of the frame. The left of the trigger guard is marked
“1” over “VP”, and the right is marked “60”. The blued barrel has a polished chamber hood and is marked with the serial number in front of the lug. It is
fitted with blade and notch rear sights, wide checkered hammer, long grip safety, arched checkered mainspring housing, short milled trigger, checkered
walnut grips, and a two-tone .38 Super Auto magazine.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 95% of the original blue finish with scratches visible on the front gripstraps and some very light wear visible on the leading
edges of the slide. The grips are also excellent with a few scattered light blemishes in the otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. An excellent
example of a pre-war Colt Super .38 semi-automatic pistol!
