Excellent Fabrique Nationale Luxembourg Contract
Model 1949 Semi-Automatic Rifle - Serial no. 5083,
30-06 Springfield cal., 23 inch round bbl., black finish, hardwood stock. The
Fabrique Nationale Model 1949, also referred to as the FN-49 or SAFN, was used by a number of countries
in military service between 1948-1982. Originally designed by Belgian small arms designer Dieudonne Saive in 1947, who
also designed the FAL, its successor. Blade front and tangent rear sights, “AL” (Armee Luxembourg) mark on top of
the chamber, “(flaming bomb) 0” on the left. Matching numbers are present on the receiver, top cover, bolt, bolt
carrier and stock. Fitted with a smooth hardwood stock with a steel buttplate and a green canvas sling.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 98% plus original black enamel finish, showing some light scratches on the metal and shallow dents in the
wood. Mechanically excellent.

World War II Mauser Model 98 High Turret Bolt Action Sniper Style
Rifle with Dialytan Scope - Serial no. 48611k, 8 mm Mauser cal., 24
inch round bbl., blue finish, laminate stock. Deployed relatively early in World
War II, while on paper the High Turret Sniper was rendered obsolete by the easier to make Long Rail and Short Rail Snipers, the
High Turret Sniper was a robust and effective sharpshooting platform that never fully left military service during World War II. Hooded blade front
and tangent rear sights, with a set of turret mounts installed on the “eagle/135” and “Mod.98” marked Mauser receiver. The bolt has been fitted with a “key”
pattern safety switch, with a “dkl” marked Dialytan 4x scope marked “2538/+” on the side, with a 100-800 graduated elevation adjustment knob, windage
adjustable rear ring, and front ring renumbered to match the rifle. Fittings include a welded front barrel band, machined mid band, and stamped trigger
guard and floorplate, which are numbered to match the receiver. The laminated stock is numbered to match inside the upper handguard and forearm
channel (the latter also marked “Na 4243”), a faint “H” mark on the left side, brown leather sling and a cupped steel buttplate.
CONDITION: Very good as upgraded to current configuration, with 70% of the professionally restored blue finish, showing areas of brown and gray patina,
mild spotting and light handing marks. Other than the safety, the bolt components and scope rings have been renumbered to match the rifle. The stock is
very good, with scuffs and dents. Optics are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.

Desirable Pre-Occupation Polish Radom Wz29 Bolt Action Military Rifle - Serial no. 61427Z,
8 mm Mauser cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, hardwood stock. Manufactured in 1939, and devoid of German proofs or code
markings; Poland would be invaded in September, with the city of Radom falling on September 8th. Blade front and tangent rear sights, with the
“Polish Eagle” mark and “1939” date on the receiver ring, a smooth pistol grip stock, and a brown leather sling.
CONDITION: Very good, with 60% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, scattered spotting, and mild edge wear and handling marks. The bolt handle has been
polished, rendering the serial number illegible, with a mixed number on the front sight. The stock is good as arsenal repaired, with splicing around the magazine (one of the panels has fallen out)
and a reinforcing dowel ahead of the trigger, chipping around the upper tang and crossbolt, grain splits in the buttstock, and a number of scuffs and dents. Mechanically excellent.

Venezuelan Contract Fabrique Nationale FN-49 Semi-Automatic Sniper Configuration Rifle with Scope - Serial no. 996,
7 mm Mauser cal., 23 inch round bbl., black finish, hardwood stock. Manufactured in Belgium on contract for Venezuela, with the
Venezuelan crest on the receiver ring. An unmarked scope base is installed on
the left side of the receiver, the ring assembly marked
with Echo/B.C. Herkner markings, and the scope “A.B.L.
-1951/No1455”. The rifle also has the standard battle sights, a muzzle
brake, and bayonet lug. It is mounted with a walnut pistol grip stock, brown leather sling, and steel
buttplate. Per information from “The FN-49: The Last Elegant Old-World Military Rifle” by Johnson (page
107), the Venezuelan contract did not include any factory-original snipers nor are any believed to have been
converted to sniper configuration by the Venezuelan military after delivery.
CONDITION: Very fine as upgraded to sniper configuration, with 75% black finish, showing edge wear, areas of
thinning, and mild handling marks. The top cover is a mixed numbered replacement. The stock is fine, with a number of dents and scuffs. Optics are clear, with mild
spotting and wear on the tube. Mechanically excellent.

Model Bolt Action Rifle - Serial no. B70438, 8
mm Mauser cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish,
hardwood stock. Blade front and tangent rear sights, with the “banner” logo on top of the receiver ring, model marking on the left
sidewall, and matching numbers on the receiver, barrel, rear sight, bolt, triggerguard and floorplate. Fitted with a smooth pistol grip stock with a flat
steel buttplate.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 98% plus bright original high polish blue finish, showing minor handling marks. The stock is also excellent, with mild
scattered dings and scuffs and some light pitting and spotting on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
