Originally the main sidearm
of Poland’s military, the VIS-35
was re-branded the P35(p)
and pressed into service by
the Germans following their
invasion and occupation of
Poland. This late war production
example has rough machined
parts with wartime phosphate
finish, fixed sights, blued small
parts, the one-line Radom
model marking on the left of the
slide, smooth backstrap, and an
eliminated takedown hook. The frame, slide and barrel are matching numbered, with proofs visible on
the slide and “eagle/623” stamps on the frame and barrel. Fitted with a pair of ribbed hardwood grips.
Includes a “grz/1942” code, “eagle/swastika/WaA182” proofed, and “P 35 (p)” marked black leather flap
holster and extra blued magazine.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 85% plus original phosphate finish with some high-point wear, some
minor spotting/brown patina showing on the frame and slide, and some mild handling wear. The grips
are also very fine with a small crack in the right panel, but otherwise crisp ribbing. Mechanically excellent.
The holster is also very fine.

“ac/44” Code Two-Tone P.38 Semi-
Automatic Pistol Rig with Holster
and Extra Magazine - Serial no. 745d,
9 mm Luger cal., 4 7/8 inch round bbl.,
blue/phosphate finish, plastic grips.
Manufactured in 1944 using a slide
produced by Fabrique Nationale. These
slides are believed to have been originally
intended as a Walther sub-contract item but
instead bear Mauser’s assigned Waffenamt
code. Fixed sights, with the left side of the
slide marked “P38” and “ac/44” ahead of the
serial number, with matching numbers and a
series of “eagle/swastika” and “eagle/WaA135”
proofs on the components. The barrel is finished
in a bright blue, with a phosphate gray finish
on the slide and frame. Fitted with a “WaA135”
marked magazine and a pair of ribbed grips with
a lanyard loop on the left side. Includes a black
leather holster marked “gxy1944” and “P38”on the back, and a “jvd” marked extra magazine
CONDITION: Excellent, with 97% plus original blue and phosphate finishes, with bright edge wear and minor handling
marks overall. The grips are also excellent. Mechanically excellent. The holster is excellent showing a few minor scuffs.

approximately 1,500 P.38 pistols
produced by Mauser for issue to
German police forces during World
War II. Features fixed blade front and
notch rear sights, “byf/44” code with
commercial “eagle/N” proof on the left
of the side along with “eagle/WaA135”
military and “eagle/swastika L” police
proofs on the right, “eagle/WaA135” proof
on the left of the frame, along with “eagle/
WaA135” and “eagle/N” proofs on the
barrel and locking block. Matching serial
numbers present on the slide, frame, barrel,
and locking block. Fitted with a pair of ribbed brown composite grips marked “P/1528/3” on the interiors
along with a “jvd” code blued magazine. Includes an unmarked brown leather flap holster and an extra
unmarked blued magazine.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% plus original blue finish with plum coloration on the frame and
barrel, some minor freckling/brown patina showing on the frame, and otherwise limited minor handling
marks. The grips are excellent with defined ribbing and attractive composite patterning. Mechanically
excellent. The holster is fine with light scrapes and scuffs. It would be difficult to improve up on a World
War II era police proofed Mauser P.38 pistol such as this example!

round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips.
Manufactured early during the
German occupation of Belgium during
World War II, when the Fabrique
Nationale factory was taken over by
the occupiers and continued operation
to aid the war effort utilizing existing
designs that were in production prior.
This pistol was likely made in 1941,
given the introduction of the “WaA103”
proof in April and subsequent change to
the “WaA140” proof by November of that
year. Features fixed front and adjustable
tangent rear (graduated from 50 to
500) sights, early occupation production
polished blue finish, backstrap not slotted
for a shoulder stock, and matching serial
numbers on the frame, slide, and barrel.
With the FN address and Browning patent markings
on the left of the slide, “eagle/WaA103” and “eagle/
swastika” proofs on the left of the slide, frame, and on
the barrel, along with a circled “F.N.” mark on the left
of the trigger guard. Fitted with a pair of checkered
walnut grips with red painted interiors and a phosphate finished magazine with “eagle/WaA103” proof and blued
floorplate. Includes an extra blued magazine with “eagle/WaA103” proof and circled “C” marking, along with an “eagle/
WaA/668” proofed black leather flap holster.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 90% plus original early German occupation production era polished blue finish with
minor holster pattern edge wear, along with some grey/brown patina showing through on the grip straps, but otherwise
mild handling marks and bright roll marks. The left grip is also excellent with crisp checkering, with the very fine right grip
has a chip missing from the upper rear. Mechanically excellent. The holster is exceptionally fine with supple leather.
