The satin coin finished receiver features full coverage floral
and scroll engraving with contrasting darkened backgrounds,
“Abbiatico & Salvinelli” on each side, and a highly detailed
field scene of two quail in flight over a detailed cloud scape in
a masterfully executed Bulino style. The underside is signed
“INC. VENZI S.” on the right side near the trigger plate. Features
FAMARS patented removable trigger group with gold washed
internal hammers. Even the hidden screw heads in the locks
are engraved. Mounted on a high grade, fancy checkered
splinter forearm with engraved fittings and an inset gold
inscription shield. The buttstock is highly figured with bold
mineral lines, fine line checkering, and a bare checkered butt.
The barrel and stock dimensions are: bore diameter at 9 inches
from breech .626/.626 inch; wall thickness at 9 inches from
breech .042/.042 inch; drop at comb 1 3/8 inches; drop at
heel 1 7/8 inches; length of pull 15 inches; zero cast; toe out;
weight 6 Lbs. 5.8 Oz. Includes a Famars takedown case with a
stock wrench and papers.
CONDITION: Excellent. 99% original finish remains with
minimal light handling marks overall. Mechanically excellent.
The case is excellent with some light marks on the exterior.
