Factory Engraved Gebruder Merkel Boxlock Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 643756, 12 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish,
walnut stock. Built with blued barrels featuring a single brass bead sight on the matted concave solid rib, dual bands of engraving at the breech, standard markings,
front sling swivel, 1990 dated German proof marks, choke constrictions of .007/.017 inches, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with single extractor. The barrels are fitted to a
casehardened boxlock action which displays light scroll engraving and features bushed firing pins, cocking indicators on either side, double triggers, and a tang mounted automatic safety. The
gun is mounted with a nicely figured and multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and Deeley latch release and a straight grip stock with rear sling swivel and a factory buttplate. Stock
measurements: 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 9/16 inch drop at heel; 14 9/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 13 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and casehardened finishes with minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the wood. Mechanically excellent.

Barrel Shotgun with Box and Case - Serial no. 481144,
20 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut
stock. Built with blued Krupp Stahl barrels featuring a single
bead sight on the matted concave solid rib which is marked “1620 SLC No.8” along with a “2” on the extension, 2002 dated German proof marks, chokes marked “VBZ”/”1/2”, and 3 inch chambers with automatic
ejectors. The barrels are fitted to the coin finished sideplated boxlock action which displays scroll engraving surrounding a dog with a hare in his mouth with two more fleeing on the left and a pointer flushing a covey of woodcock
on the right. The left scene is signed by Master Engraver Hans Ulrich Sorg below the dog. The gun features double triggers, bushed firing pins, and a tang mounted automatic safety. The gun is fitted with a beautifully figured and
multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and a straight grip stock with factory buttplate. Includes the original factory box and a factory wood and leather takedown case with shipping box. Stock measurements: 1 1/2
inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 14 9/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 7 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with minor handling evidence, spots of minor dried grease on the coin, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. The box is
very fine and the case is excellent.

finish, walnut stock. Built with blued Krupp stahl barrels featuring dual bead sights on the matted concave solid rib which is marked “147EL Spt. 12 Ga”, 2003 dated German proof marks, chokes marked “SK”/”VBZ”,
and 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to the coin finished boxlock action which displays scroll engraving around a covey of quail flushing on the right and a pair of pheasants on the left over a
“GL” signature for Merkel Master Engraver Gerhard Liebscher. The gun features a single trigger, bushed firing pins, cocking indicators, and a tang mounted automatic safety. The gun is mounted with a beautifully figured and
multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and a pistol grip stock with factory buttplate. Includes the original factory box, a factory wood and leather takedown case, and shipping box. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch
drop at comb; 2 7/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 14 oz.

Gauge Model 1622EL No.8 Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 471053, 16 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl.,
blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Built with blued steel barrels with a single brass bead on the matted solid
rib, chambers marked 2 3/4 inches with ejectors, a light spray of scroll on the side of either chamber, standard markings. The barrels
are mated to a coin sideplated action which displays light floral flourishes which surround the gold inlaid marking “MERKEL/1622EL No.8”
on the underside, and beautifully hand cut game scenes on each sideplate consisting of a pointer flushing a dove in a wooded scene on the left and a pair of pheasant in a hilly clearing.
The left sideplate is signed with the initials “S.P.” for Master Factory Engraver Suzanne Patheo. The toplever is engraved with more light flourishes and inlaid with “EL”. Mounted in a magnificently
figured and contrasted and multipoint checkered forend with engraved fittings, and straight grip stock with serrated plastic butt. Bore and stock measurements (R/L): bore measured 9 inches from the
breech .633/.633 inches; choke constriction .009/.021 inches; minimum wall thickness .035/.34 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at the comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at the heel; 14 5/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 1 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue and coin finishes with limited handling marks, oil staining on the action, and crisp engraving. Wood is very fine with some light handling marks and crisp
checkering. Mechanically excellent.
