Michel Courant Signed Game Scene Engraved and
Gold Inlaid Fabrique Nationale Model 98 Bolt Action Rifle with Scope - Serial no. A1019, 22-250
cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Built on a FN Model 98 action which has been fitted with a barrel with a band of
gold engraving at the muzzle, two small sprays of engraving coming off the gold band, and a band at the breach with scrolls coming off the ends, and three
sprays of floral scroll coming from the breach. The blued action is inlaid with borders in a similar motif to the breach surrounding
floral scroll motifs. The engraving and borders extend on to the scope rings, bolt handle, bottom metal, and floorplate where it
surrounds a scene of two gold inlaid prairie dogs in front of a silver inlaid cactus. The floorplate is signed “M. Courant” for engraver
Michel Courant who studied under world famous Master Engraver Angelo Bee. The scope rings hold a Redfield 1” Tube 3-9x scope.
The barrel and action are mounted in a magnificently contrasted multipoint checkered walnut stock with contrasting forend and
skeleton grip cap, shadowline cheekpiece, and solid rubber recoil pad.
CONDITION: Excellent as embellished by Michel Courant, retaining 99% plus blue finish with limited handling marks and crisp
engraving. Stock is very fine with some light dings and scratches and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Optics slightly hazy,
reticle crisp.

Heidi Marsh Engraved and Gold Inlaid Larry Marsh Built Bolt Action Varmint Rifle with Bausch & Lomb Scope - NSN, 22-250
Rem cal., 28 inch round fluted bbl., blue/coin/gold finish, walnut stock. Built without sights on the heavy round fluted barrel which is marked with
the caliber “22-250 REM.” at the left of the chamber along with “GUNSMITH - LARRY MARSH/ENGRAVER - HEIDI MARSH”. The barrel is richly engraved
with highly attractive broad leafy scroll in large wedges at the muzzle and at the breech. The barrel is fitted to an unmarked Mauser style action
which features scroll engraving, engraved scope rings holding a Bausch & Lomb 2-7x scope, a gold howling coyote on the right of the front receiver
ring, a gold bobcat on the left, a weasel on the bolt, and a small raccoon bust on the ejector box. The floorplate displays more scroll surrounding a
scene of a bald eagle descending on a group of prairie dogs as well as a silver squirrel on the triggerguard. The engraving is signed with a gold “HM”
monogram on the floorplate. The rifle is mounted in a beautifully figured stock with
an ebony forend tip, engraved sling studs, raised cheekpiece, engraved steel grip cap
showing a gold inlaid skunk, and a wolverine on the engraved steel buttplate.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 99% blue, coin, and gold finishes with minor
handling evidence and a few minor scratches on stock. Mechanically excellent. The
scope optics are clear.

Engraved and Gold Inlaid Paul Jaeger Built Fabrique
Nationale Model 98 Bolt Action Sporting Rifle with Scope - Serial no. 1210, 243 cal., 22 inch round bbl.,
blue finish, walnut stock. Built by legendary gunsmith Paul Jaeger with a ramped and hooded gold bead blade front sight on the
barrel marked “PAUL JAEGER-JENKINTOWN. PA.” on top and “243” on the left of the chamber. The Model 98 action is marked with the
serial number on the left and displays light floral scroll engraving on the bolt shroud. The action is topped with a Redfield 1” Tube 3-9x scope. The bottom
metal and floorplate display relief oak leaf and acorn motifs with a gold wire border on the floorplate and gold
inlaid long horn ram bust in a mountainous scene. The barrel and action are mounted in a beautifully figured,
fleur-de-lis checkered walnut pistol grip stock with ebony forend cap, blued steel engraved pistol grip cap,
shadowline cheekpiece, Monte Carlo comb, and initial escutcheon inscribed with the initials “F” in Old English
script, and a blued steel checkered buttplate.
CONDITION: Excellent as built by Paul Jaeger, retaining 99% blue finish, light handing marks, and crisp engraving.
The stock is very fine with some dings and scratches and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Optics
slightly hazy, reticle crisp.
