in Italy. Features fine
floral scroll pattern
engraving on the
barrel and frame,
with two silver inlaid bands bordering the German
silver front sight post. The cylinder bears a roll-marked
stagecoach scene with silver bordering. Fitted with a
pair smooth pearl grips with floral pins. Includes an
oiled walnut presentation case with Colt marked
capper, brass powder flask, cleaning rod, screwdriver,
key, single cavity bullet mold, a pistol sleeve, and a
copy of “Paterson Colt Pistol Variations” by Phillips
and Wilson in the bottom case drawer.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original blue, casehardened, and silver inlay finishes
with minimal minor handling marks and some minor cylinder drag marks. The grips are also excellent.
Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine.

Engraved and Gold Inlaid Colt Black Powder Series Percussion
Revolvers with Accessories and Factory Letter -A) Colt Black
Powder Series Third Model Dragoon Revolver - Serial no. 24791,
44 cal., 7 1/2 inch part round bbl., blue/casehardened/gold finish,
smooth grips. The included factory letter confirms the serial numbers,
calibers, barrel lengths, blue finish, the grips listed as “wood”, along
with the Class “B” scroll engravings, gold inlaid band at the muzzles,
and gold inlaid “rampant colt” on the left side of the barrel lugs of
both revolvers in the set (listed as performed by A.A. White Engraving
Co.), and furnished with a two-drawer presentation case when
included in a shipment of six sets sent to Aeromarine Supply Co. at
7605 Eastwood Mall in Birmingham, Alabama, on July 24, 1985. The
front grip strap of revolver “A” is marked “COLT ENG.” on the right side
under the grip line. Both are fitted with smooth one-piece grips with
matching serial numbers written on the interior in ink along with
“HAND MADE BY/D.C.” in red ink under the left side panels. Includes
the aforementioned walnut two-drawer presentation case fitted for
both revolvers, two Eley Bros. cap tins, two appropriate Colt powder
flasks (one brass and large, the other small and blued steel), two brass
bullet molds with casehardened sprue cutters, and two “L” shaped
combination tools. Keys for the case are absent.
CONDITION: Excellent overall as masterfully factory embellished
by A.A. White Engraving Co., retaining 99% plus original blue,
casehardened, and gold inlay finishes with limited handling marks and
crisp engravings. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine.

Trigger Guard Revolver - Serial no. 24825, 36 cal., 7 1/2 inch octagon
bbl., blue/casehardened/gold finish, smooth grips. As described in “A”.
CONDITION: Excellent overall as masterfully embellished by A.A.
White Engraving Co., retaining 99% plus original blue, casehardened,
and gold inlay finishes with limited handling evidence and crisp
engravings. Mechanically excellent.

finish, original grips. Manufactured in 1978 and left “in the
white” by Colt and engraved with the design created by
the late Master Engraver Alvin White. The finishing and
engraving were carried out by American Master Engravers
Inc. exclusively for the Heritage Guild. The frame, barrel,
trigger guard, and back strap are silver plated, and the hammer, trigger, cylinder, wedge, and loading
arm assembly are gold plated. The engraving is all in Nimschke’s style and includes the famous wolf
head motif on the hammer and beautiful floral scrollwork on a punch dot background. The left side
of the barrel is inscribed “L. D. Nimschke/ENGRAVER/1832 - 1904”. The revolver is fitted with a raised
relief carved grip with bald eagles on each side holding banners with “LIBERTY” on them. The revolver
comes in a French fitted and leather bound Heritage Guild presentation case.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% plus original finishes with some areas of thinning in the silver
and minor handling evidence. The slightly undersized grip is very fine showing light age cracking. The
case is excellent. Mechanically excellent.
