Phenomenal Cased Set of Three Factory Engraved Colt Black Powder
Series Percussion Revolvers with Accessories
-A) Colt Black Powder Series Model 1851 Navy Squareback Trigger
Guard Revolver with Box - Serial no. 27127, 36 cal., 7 1/2 inch octagon
bbl., blue/casehardened/silver finish, smooth grips. Standard markings
and features, along with floral pattern scroll engraving at 75% coverage.
Includes a walnut display case fitted for the revolver along with “B” and
“C”, two Eley Bros. cap tins, two appropriate Colt powder flasks (one large,
one small), two engraved bullet molds with sprue cutters (one brass, one
blued steel), two “L” shaped combination tools, and a key for the case. Also
includes the original Colt Black Powder Series box.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue,
casehardened, and silver finishes with limited handling marks and crisp
engravings. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine. The box is fine.
B) Colt Black Powder Series Model 1861 Navy Revolver
with Box - Serial no. 41291, 36 cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/
casehardened/silver finish, smooth grips. Standard markings and
features, along with floral pattern scroll engraving at 75% coverage.
Cased with “A” and “C”. Includes an original Colt Blackpowder Series box.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue,
casehardened, and silver finishes with limited handling evidence and crisp
engravings. Mechanically excellent. The box is very fine.
C) Colt Black Powder Series Model 1862 Pocket Navy Revolver -
Serial no. 48966, 36 cal., 5 1/2 inch octagon bbl., blue/casehardened/silver
finish, smooth grips. Standard markings and features, along with floral
pattern scroll engraving at 75% coverage. Cased with “A” and “B”.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original blue,
casehardened, and silver finishes with some minor patina showing on the
bottom of the grip frame, but otherwise limited handling evidence and
crisp engravings. Mechanically excellent.
