Cased Pair of Factory Engraved and Gold Inlaid
Colt Black Powder Series Percussion Revolvers with
Shoulder Stocks -A) Colt Black Powder Series Third
Model Dragoon Revolver - Serial no. 31403, 44 cal., 7 1/2
inch part round bbl., blue/casehardened/silver/gold finish,
smooth grips. Standard markings and features, with 75%
floral scroll engraving coverage along with gold bordering
present on the barrel, loading lever, frame, and hammer.
Includes a detachable shoulder stock with matching
serial number on the blued hardware. Includes a walnut
presentation case fitted for the revolver and “B”, two Colt
containers, brush, two engraved “L” shaped combination
tools, two engraved brass bullet molds with sprue cutters,
two Eley Bros. cap tins, and cleaning tools.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original
blue, casehardened and silver finishes along with gold inlays,
with attractive darkening to the silver, but otherwise limited
handling marks and crisp engravings. The hammer does not
lock at full cock. The shoulder stock is excellent. The case
is very fine. B) Colt Black Powder Series Model 1851
Squareback Trigger Guard Revolver - Serial no. 27645,
36 cal., 7 1/2 inch octagon bbl., blue/casehardened/silver/
gold finish, smooth grips. Standard markings and features,
with 75% floral scroll engraving coverage along with gold
bordering present on the barrel, loading lever, frame,
and hammer. Includes a detachable shoulder stock with
matching serial number on the engraved brass hardware.
Cased with “A”.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original
blue, casehardened, and silver finishes, along with gold
inlays, with some patina buildup on the German silver
front sight, and slight attractive darkening to the silver, but
otherwise limited handling marks and crisp engravings.
Mechanically excellent. The shoulder stock is excellent.
