Documented Prototype Colt Double Action Revolver with Factory Letter - Serial no. X7400-7,
357 Magnum cal., 4 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Produced in the “J-Frame” style, known
in production as the Mark III. Blade front sight, with a cut in the top strap for an
adjustable rear sight, which is absent. No markings are present except
for the serial number on the butt and “7” on the crane. Grips
are checkered walnut with Rampant Colt medallions. Includes
a Colt factory letter, which confirms the features and the
prototype status of the revolver.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 95% of the original blue finish,
showing the start of a gray patina on the front strap and some
light handling marks and spotting overall. Grips are very fine, with light
pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.

Desirable Prototype Colt MK IV Series 80 Gold Cup National Match Semi-Automatic
Pistol, Serial Number “XCS0015”, with Case - Serial no. XCS0015, 9 mm Luger cal., 5 inch
round bbl., stainless finish, synthetic grips. Manufactured circa 1980s. Features fixed green
fiber optic front and Colt adjustable tangent rear sights, satin stainless finish on the dorsal
and ventral lines contrasted with a high polish on the sides, “NOWLIN 9 mm” marked stainless
barrel, extended checkered magazine release, adjustable skeletonized trigger, skeletonized
hammer, ambidextrous extended thumb safeties, a ribbed front strap, an extended beavertail grip safety, and flat checkered
mainspring housing with integrated flared magazine well. The left of the slide bear the standard two line model designation
with “rampant colt” to the rear, along with “GOLD CUP/NATIONAL MATCH” on the right side. The right side of the frame bears
the Colt address, “XCS” prefix serial number, and “6” on the trigger guard. Fitted with a pair of ‘double diamond’ pattern
red/black G10 grips with silver Colt medallions. Includes the original matching Colt blue hard case with end label marked
“MODEL - CMXXX” and “Model MSC”. The magazine is absent.
CONDITION: Excellent, with some light spotting on the mainspring housing and minor handling marks. The grips are
excellent with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine.

Documented Colt Factory Experimental Prototype Mark III
Double Action Revolver with Factory Letter - Serial no. X7400-
5, 357 magnum cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips.
Blade front and fixed rear sights, with a decal of the Rampant
Colt on the left side, “5” on the crane, serial number on the butt,
and no other maker’s marks. Checkered grips, with “COLT” cut
and then filled in the tops. With a Colt factory letter confirming
the prototype status of this revolver.
CONDITION: Very fine, with 95% plus of the original blue finish,
showing some light handling marks overall, minor dings on the barrel and
frame and discoloration of the blue around the drag line and edge of the
side plate. Grips are very fine, with light pressure dents.
Mechanically excellent.
