Early Production Colt Open Top Pocket Spur Trigger
Revolver with Scarce Long Barrel - Serial no. 883, 22 RF
cal., 2 7/8 inch round bbl., blue/silver finish, walnut grips.
Manufactured in 1871, with the early high spur hammer and
the top of the scarce 2 7/8 inch barrel marked with
the standard Colt two-line address flanked
by Maltese crosses. The serial number
is marked on the butt, with the
matching serial number on the
bottom of the barrel lug and
marked inside each of the
grips in ink.
CONDITION: Fine,
retains 50% of the
original blue finish
and 60% of the
aged silver with
the balance
mostly a smooth
grey patina or an
attractively aged
brass. The grips are
also fine with most of
the varnish and some
scattered minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.

LOT 1106
Colt House Model “Cloverleaf” Spur Trigger Revolver - Serial no. 1780, 41 RF cal., 3 inch round
bbl., blue/silver finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1871, this is one of approximately 7,500
manufactured known as the “cloverleaf” variation, due to the shape of their four-shot cylinder. The
top of the barrel has the standard two-line address flanked by Maltese crosses. It has matching serial
numbers on the bottom of the barrel, butt, and on the inside of both grips.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retains 85% plus of the bright, original, high polish blue finish with
some light edge wear and a couple patches of light surface pitting. Faint traces of the original silver
finish remain with the balance attractively aged brass. The grips are very fine with light high spot
wear and a few light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.

LOT 1107
Attractive Factory Engraved Colt Open Top Pocket
Spur Trigger Revolver with Highly Desirable Wexell &
DeGress Grips - Serial no. 82202, 22 RF cal., 2 3/8 inch round
bbl., nickel/gold finish, metal grips. Manufactured in 1875,
the top of the barrel is marked with the standard Colt two-
line address flanked by Maltese crosses. Both sides of the
frame have flourishes of floral scroll engraving. The full serial
number is marked on the butt and bottom of the barrel lug.
It is fitted with a very attractive pair of Wexell & DeGress
silver grips with floral motifs on the left along with the 1874
patent marking and a lion motif on the right.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retains 95% plus of the
original nickel and period replated gold with some scattered
light handling marks, some light flaking on the front face of
the cylinder, and light spotting/pitting on the hammer. The
grips are excellent, retaining most of the original silver finish
with some light handling wear. Mechanically excellent.

London Proofed Colt Etched Panel New Line .32 Spur
Trigger Revolver - Serial no. 12555, 32 CF cal., 2 1/4 inch
round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, hardwood grips.
Manufactured in 1876. The top of the barrel has the two-line
address, the left side has the etched panel marked “COLT
NEW 32”, and the bottom has the patent date, British proofs,
and serial number. The cylinder is marked with British proofs.
It has standard features as well as a pair of smooth grips.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 85% of the original blue finish
on the barrel and crisp etched panel, 20% original blue on
the cylinder, and 75% plus of the original case colors on the
frame with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth
grey patina and a few patches of very light surface pitting.
The grips are very fine with some scattered light handling
marks. Mechanically excellent.
