bbl., nickel/silver finish, antique ivory grips. Manufactured
in Belgium, c. 1861-1870 by Lambert Ghaye under a

collectors market. The barrels are marked on the bottom
of the muzzle end with the Liege proof mark, “VG”, a
small “crown/G”, and two other circled proofs. Both sides
of the frame around the hammer screw are marked “C.
SHARPS/PATENT 1859”. The frame also has extensive
relieve chiseled floral scroll and geometric patterns with
a matted background. The butt is marked with “crown/
FP” and “DR”. The matching serial number is on the butt
and bottom of the barrel group. It is fitted with a bead
front sight, sliding hammer stall, and a pair of smooth
antique ivory grips.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 90% plus of the
nickel finish on the barrels and traces of
the silver on the frame with the balance

NSN, 2 mm pinfire cal., 3/8 inch round bbl., niter blue
finish. This is an example of a unique 19th century
style French ring gun that was custom made in the
late 20th century (whatever the history, these ring
pistols are oddities and appeal to collectors purely as
conversation pieces). The German silver band of the
ring has a light floral type engraving and is marked
“LE PETIT PROTECTOR”. This ring gun features a small
hand rotated 6-shot pinfire cartridge cylinder that
must be removed for loading/unloading. The pins
of the cartridges are struck by the base of the
hammer. Includes a small leatherette wrapped
