Engraved Joyner Brass Barrel Flintlock Blunderbuss -
NSN, 10 gauge, 15 1/8 inch part octagon bbl., bright finish, walnut stock. Manufactured c.
1760s-1770s. The multi-stage cannon barrel’s bore is approximately 10 gauge and flares to 1.1 inches
at the muzzle. It is marked “LONDON” on top and has London proof and view marks to the left at the breech,
and the lock is marked “JOYNER” at the center. The mounts are brass. There is floral and border engraving throughout,
and the trigger guard has an acorn finial. The stock has a checkered wrist.
CONDITION: Fair with aged patina on the brass, dark gray and brown patina on the lock along with pitting, repaired barrel tang,
cracks and repairs in the refinished stock, and general mild overall wear. Mechanically fine.

LOT 1215
British Brass Barrel Flintlock Blunderbuss with Snap
Bayonet - NSN, 17 gauge, 14 inch part octagon bbl., bright
finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1813 or later based on the Birmingham proof marks
with a “LONDON” marked barrel in approximately 17 gauge (.65 caliber, carbine bore) that flares
to 1.33 inches at the muzzle and is mounted with a folding snap bayonet. The lock is marked “H-NOCK” at
center and has a sliding safety catch and frizzen spring roller. The furniture is brass. There is some light engraving
throughout. The stock has a checkered wrist.
CONDITION: Fair with aged patina on the brass barrel and mounts, gray and brown patina and pitting on the lock and bayonet,
broken ramrod, re-varnished stock with distinct checkering, and general mild overall wear. Mechanically fine.

LOT 1217
Barbar Brass Barrel Flintlock Blunderbuss - NSN, 6 gauge, 16 1/2 inch part octagon bbl., bright finish, walnut stock. Louis Barbar
was active in the early 18th century. This gun features an approximately 6-8 bore barrel that flares to 1 1/2 inches at the muzzle, is
inscribed “BARBAR LONDINI” on top, and has an “•/LB” maker’s mark and London proof and view marks to the left at the breech. The
lock is signed “BARBAR.” The mounts are brass. There is some light border engraving.
CONDITION: Fair as restocked with attractively aged patina on the brass, dark gray patina and mild pitting on the lock, and mild
wear. Mechanically fine.
