Scarce Factory Engraved Remington 28 Gauge
Model 1100-SD “Tournament Skeet” Semi-Automatic
Shotgun with Box - Serial no. L-768062-J, 28 gauge, 25 inch vent rib bbl.,
blue finish, walnut stock. The “D”, or “Tournament”, grade was built with serious
competitors and sportsmen in mind, featuring more subtle engraving than
the Expert and Premier grades, but benefits from the precision hand fitting by
the master gunsmiths of the Custom Shop, while the “S”, or “SKEET”, was the
configuration designed for skeet shooters, with the “SD” being a combination
of the two known as the “Tournament Skeet”. Built with a blued barrel featuring
dual bead sights on the matted vent rib, standard factory markings, choke constriction of .006 inches, 2 3/4 inch chambers, and two inch wedges of scroll engraving at either side of the rib near the
base. The barrel is fitted to a blued action which displays attractive scroll engraving as well as hand cut factory markings. The gun is fitted with a highly figured and multi-point checkered forend and pistol grip stock with white
diamond grip cap and a serrated factory buttplate. This gun is consecutively serial numbered with the previous lot, a .410 bore gun of the same grade. Includes the original factory box. Stock measurements: 1 3/8 inch drop at
comb; 2 3/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/16 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 3 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue finish with minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. The box is very fine.

Automatic Shotgun - Serial no. L-768061-H, 410 gauge, 25 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. The

Scarce Factory Engraved Remington Model 10F Premier Grade Slide Action Shotgun
with Extra Matching Number Barrel and Mutton Case - Serial
no. 108271, 12 gauge, 26 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut
stock. Manufactured in 1913. Features floral scroll engraving
with punch dot background on the receiver, trigger guard and breech end of the barrel. The takedown ring
has a simple floral design. The left side of the receiver also has two hunting dogs in a field scene and two snipes in a field scene. The right side has two quail in a
field scene and two ducks in a marsh scene. There is a dog’s head on the trigger guard. The top of the barrel at the breech amid the engraving is marked “MODEL 10F”
followed by “REMINGTON ARMS - METALLIC CARTRIDGE CO./REMINGTON WORKS, ILION, NEW YORK, U.S.A./PATENTED FEBRUARY 3, 1903 AND MAY 16 1905”. The upper left
rear of the barrel is engraved “CYL.” The slide bar has a light vine design and “TRADE Remington MARK”. The serial number is engraved at the front underside of the receiver in
a banner and also engraved on the lower tang behind the trigger guard over “REMINGTON/UMC (in a circle)/TRADEMARK”. The extra barrel is numbered to the
gun, 30 inches in length, round, 12 gauge with the same markings and engraving, and engraved “FULL” on the upper left rear. Both barrels have 2 3/4
inch chambers and single bead sights. Blue finish and mounted with an extra fancy checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a hard
rubber Remington grip cap, vented Field Trail recoil pad and gold initial oval. Length of pull is 14 1/8 inches. Includes a mutton case.
CONDITION: Fine. The barrel currently on the shotgun retains 75% original blue with some scratches from disassembling and some normal
handling wear. The magazine tube retains 30% thin original blue finish mixed with smooth mottled gray patina. The receiver retains 40% original
blue finish with a smooth gray patina on the balance. There is a smooth gray patina on the trigger guard. The extra barrel retains 75% original
finish with some finish loss on the underside and normal handling wear. The forearm is very good with some minor handling marks and distinct
checkering. The stock remains good with heavy checkering wear, a chip absent on the grip cap, replacement pad, and some scattered minor
dents and scratches. The markings and engraving are clear. Mechanically fine. The case is good with exterior scuffs and scratches and tight stitching.

28 Gauge Model 11-48 SD Semi-Automatic Shotgun with Factory Cutts
Compensator - Serial no. 4002113, 28 gauge, 21 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Introduced
in 1949, this gun was built with a blued steel barrel with a factory installed Lyman Cutts Compensator,
factory markings, correct lack of choke markings, a 2 3/4 inch chamber, and wedges of scroll engraving at the breech. The
barrel is fitted to a blued receiver with diamonds of scroll engraving on either side, scroll engraving on the top, and hand cut
serial number and model marking on the underside at the front ahead of the loading gate. The gun is fitted with a beautifully figured and multi-point checkered forend and pistol
grip stock with factory hard rubber grip cap and buttplate. Stock measurements: 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 7/16 inch drop at heel; 14 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 8 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 98% original blue finish, 85% original black finish on the Cutts Compensator, a few splotches in the varnish, minor handling evidence, and sharp checkering
on the wood. Mechanically excellent.
